Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa

We celebrated our 40th anniversary at PH Hadahaa and vowed we would come back in 10 years for our Golden anniversary. We are so glad we did! While we had a wonderful time in 2014, our stay, this time, was even better. From the moment we were greeted at the Male airport until we checked in at the same Airport 6 days later, we were well taken care of by PH staff. Shahum, our host, was extraordinary! Through a combination of What’s Ap and in-person communication, he took care of any request and informed us of upcoming activities. Without his informing us, we never would have taken the 2-hour turtle quest to another island where we snorkeled with over 20 turtles. (Well done, dive center team!) He, and the PH staff, arranged wonderful surprises. On our actual anniversary date, mid-afternoon, we received my wife’s favorite cake along with a bottle of Prosecco. After dinner, we returned to our room to find Happy 50th Anniversary written in bamboo leaves and orchids arranged on our bed! (Thanks to other PH staff for helping with these surprises.) Shahum also coordinated our private anniversary dinner on the beach. The PH photographer used his camera and drone photography to provide wonderful pictures of the event. The head chef adjusted an already excellent menu to meet our request and the result was an amazing three hour dinner. The head chef has also greatly enhanced the menu at every one of the resort’s dining venues. The layers of flavors and the inclusion of Maldivian cuisine were well-noticed and greatly appreciated. His previous work at Japanese restaurants in India is evident in the excellent food and beverages at Koi. Avnish, the Hadahaa sommelier, was wonderful throughout our stay. He has really elevated the wine list. Yes, the list is expensive but, if you do your homework, you can find some highly rated and food-friendly wines among a nice global wine list. He checked in with us several times a day to make sure our wine experience was first-rate. A shout out to Sangita and her colleagues at the Bar for keeping us well hydrated on hot days. We were upgraded to an over-water sunset villa complete with plunge pool. Nazeem, our housekeeper, kept the room spotless. [A word about the snorkeling. Yes, the coral bleaching is evident but the fish population is thriving. Some of our best snorkeling was right around the overwater villas. A dive team personnel suggested we snorkel right at sunrise to see fish not seen the rest of the day. Boy, was he right!] Finally, not only did the new GM engage us throughout our stay to ensure we were having a great time, but he has taken this resort to new levels. Quite simply, the vision he has and the staff he has hired and trained has made this the best resort stay we have experienced in more than 80 countries around the world. Well don, PH team! Our best anniversary celebration, ever!!

When you are a repeat guest at a remote island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, there has to be something that keeps you coming back. At Park Hyatt Maldives, that something is more than just the island itself--it's the people! We recently returned from our 5th or 6th visit to this magical "living island." The water is crystal clear (even when the weather isn't cooperating), the sand is bright white (reflective of the heat), and the corals are vibrant (colorful and alive with fish, sharks, and more) on the active house reef. The pools, technology, and furniture at the resort have all experienced some small upgrades/maintenance to keep them fresh, but the nearly 20-year old design of the resort and villas was ahead of its time when it was built, so it's still very modern, current, and comfortable. We stayed in a beach pool villa (thanks to our Hyatt Globalist upgrade) and loved having the cool pool to take a dip in after getting a bit too much sun on the main beach--and the flexibility to walk out to the sandy beach directly from our villa. Ali (Mifzal) at the airport greeted us with warmth and enthusiasm; it was great to see a friendly familiar face after the long flights to get to Male from the US. Ali took us to the small airport lounge to chill before our flight to Koodoo. Perhaps one day Park Hyatt will invest in its own lounge space when the new airport opens--but for now, they continue to use the shared lounge, which is fine. The flight to Koodoo was quick and uneventful, and it was followed by a (bit bumpy due to the weather) 35 minute speedboat ride (with some drinks and snacks) to the island. On arrival, we were greeted by Shahum (our amazing host who took great care of us this time and during many of our previous visits, as well), Monika, Asim (front office manager), and a few other staff members. We were quickly whisked away to our villa for check-in details. When we arrived, a nice bottle of red wine was waiting for us as aw welcome amenity--a nice touch, since Shahum said he remembered our preferences from a prior stay! At breakfast, we were always given incredible service by Suneli, Saathesan, and Sela. They all remembered our preferences, making each meal better than the one that preceded it. For example, by the third day of ordering the same beverages at breakfast, they simply offered them to us proactively rather than our having to order them. When I indicated a preference for some dishes that were no longer on the menu that we enjoyed during previous visits, Chef Shivas made it happen (Maldivian Tuna Curry and Hadahaa Chili Egg--these are the BEST!). The breakfast buffet itself has been upgraded and now includes a daily breakfast cocktail and iced coffee station. My wife thought the latter was especially cool. They also feature a few hot dishes each morning, which is not something that was there during our prior five visits. Pretty awesome way to start the day! Chef Sandeep prepared an incredible mode

We just finished our wonderful journey of Hadahaa. We took a long and exhausting trip to the mysteries island, and stayed in beach villa 18 and overwater room 51 for two days each. The great weather, fasinating ocean, breathtaking diving experience, scientifically-designed rooms, perfect food as well as warm service, all made this journey unforgettable and worthwhile. During our resort staycation, our personal host Sherry, diving tutor Tony，waitress Suneli，Chef Dipesh took good care of us. Most importantly, the manager Kartikeya made his best effort to provide top-class food experience to us. Before we came, we expected the food maybe not suitable for Chinese clients, but he kindly offer lots of adjustment and upgrades for our meal plan, which made our journey very delightful and memorable! We have just left the Park Hyatt Maldives having been return guests and stayed for 9 days. This property is absolutely stunning. We have been to other 5 star resorts in the Maldives (and Bora Bora and the Seychelles) and we think this place is incredible. Beautiful architecture and huge villas with luxurious fittings and lege indoor and outdoor bathrooms. Our villa (19) has a lovely pool and is on its own beautiful beach area which gets the sunrise. We were on the AI package which is also very luxurious, includes French champagne and beautiful dining options. The breakfast is especially impressive! The gym is fantastic and surprisingly large with excellent modern techno gym cardio equipment The snorkelling off the main beach and in fact around the whole island is the best in the Maldives. Incredible variety of fish of all sizes, eagle rays, Ben the turtle etc. Magical. We also went on the Turtle Quest excursion which was such good value and we saw loads and loads of turtles, eagle rays, sting rays, dolphins, reef sharks. It was incredible. It felt like being in a David Attenborough scene! The staff here are the best of tue best. They are all very experienced and they are masters at anticipating your every need. One day after a big workout my husband and I sat down at breakfast and they must kept bringing us scented cold face towels until we cooled down. Little touches like that where they just delighted us with their kindness and service. Our host Sharmin was exceptional. We believe he is a huge asset to Hyatt and he must have a big career ahead of him. He is so polished and a cut above any other host or butler we have had take care of us at any other hotel. We also loved the staff in The Bar which is where we had lunch each day - usually out on the beach on a cabana. Sangita was there on our last trip and I was very sad to say good bye this time. She is incredible and kind and caring and an expert bar manager and maker of very fine drinks. We were also very impressed with Lokesh and his talents at making beautiful drinks while delivering expert service. Also Shubankar who is a wonderful mixologist, very professional and a great ambassador for the Park Hyatt brand. All 3 were just brilliant. What else. Housekeeping was absolutely 6 star and faultless. We loved the sustainable bathroom products and care taken with the environment which was a big feature of the property. Just wonderful….I could go on and on. We will return!!!

This was the best hotel I have ever stayed at. From the room to the staff to the food, everything was exceptional. I have a gluten allergy and they were extremely accommodating. Our host Shaham was fantastic. Wish we could be back there already! Couldn’t recommend it more

This was the most amazing trip I have ever experienced.The resort was beautiful, and the hospitality of everyone went above and beyond exceptional. Kartikeya, Tslosela,Kokkoo,Shamudh ,Ali,Sherry the massage staff, and everone I encountered were truly made this trip one to remember.We are planning on returning again.Thank you to all who work so hard to make us feel welcomed from the time we get to the island until we say goodbye I cannot say enough about the beauty of this island.

Excellent customer service, next level good. Food was very good and good size servings. By far the standout is the ocean - the clarity, the temperature, the fish, the turtles, the coral, the experience. It’s the reason why you go … such a magnificent part of the planet. It’s one of the few living islands that is authentic and not manufactured - so good.

My family and I stay here for 8 nights. We all love here and think it is the best stay/vacation in our lives. Everything is perfect. The island is very beautiful with awesome house reef nearby. My wife and I really enjoyed the snorkeling. The breakfast at the Dining Room and the dinner at the Island Grill are excellent. I had 8-days breakfast there and I still missed it after going back home. As the globalist, they offered us free upgrade to the beach pool villa. We also paid to upgrade several nights to the overwater sunset pool villa. Both villas are clean and well designed. We enjoyed our stay in both villa and recommend other guest to try both (they are great in different ways). The staffs, without doubt, plays significant roles to make the stay perfect. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Our butler, Akram, did excellent job during our stay. My family stays in two different rooms and he can take care of both rooms without any problem. Suneli and Tsiosela from the dinning room are also great and treat us very well during the breakfast and dinner. We also like the tuna trap from Irafaan during the breakfast. And special thanks to Sangita, the bartender, she is super nice and really takes care of the kid. My kid loves her a lot. Also Tony from the dive center, he is super helpful for our snorkeling need. The last, Asim, the manager, he did great job to help me leave the island since the weather wasn't good during the last days of our stay. Overall, this is an amazing stay and it is the best vacation for us.
