Ohiradai Onsen Hakone Reinanso

The price is very cheap, which is rare in Hakone these days, and if you are a member of the Tokyo Pension Association, you can get an additional 10% discount. I was worried about what kind of accommodation it would be, but the room I was shown, Room 307, was in a great location overlooking the Tanigawa River, with an 8 tatami mat room + 2 tatami mat room with two chairs and a desk. I stayed here for two nights. The room was renovated, clean, and comfortable. The room had a washlet toilet, a refrigerator, and a kettle. There was no bath or shower. The bath in the basement has a large bath and a small bath, which are alternated between men and women. This was also renovated, clean, and comfortable. When I visited, early-blooming cherry blossoms were blooming next to the large open-air bath, and I enjoyed floating petals in the bath. The food was a little small, which was just right for seniors. I wish breakfast could be served a little earlier than 7:45.

The Western-style room overlooks the switchbacks of the Hakone Tozan Railway. I had the steak course for dinner, but the portions were small, so it wasn't too heavy. Even though it was a weekday, the hotel seemed to be fully booked, and the restaurant was very busy. Check-in was at 13:00, so I took a bath twice on the day I arrived. This is a very reasonable inn for a stay in Hakone.

Both the food and the bath were great as always. First, I went to Uochika at Odawara Station, where I could check in at 13:00, and had lunch with the sushi and sashimi I had bought. I took a short rest and went into the hot springs. I went in twice before dinner. I added roast beef and tempura to my dinner without upgrading. They went really well with white rice and were delicious.

Although it is a Hakone sailors insurance resort, reservations are made through Jalan. Anyone can make a reservation. At 13:00 check-in, quite a lot of customers were in the lobby. The pamphlet of the inn also stated that check-in was at 13:00. The room is simple, but it is a clean Western-style room, and you can see the red Hakone Railway at the switchback point of the Hakone Railway outside. The chairs and tables in the room were very low and difficult to use. The baths are alternated between men and women, and at first, the women's open-air bath was large, and I could hear birds chirping and relax. The hot spring water is clear and colorless, but it is good for moisturizing the skin. There is no lotion in the washroom, but there are three dryers. The bath that was replaced the next morning was also good with lukewarm water, because the open-air bath can accommodate about four people, and it was in the morning. I had plenty of time to check in at 13:00, so I took a nap in bed after taking a bath. We had dinner at the restaurant. It starts at 18:00, and I was asked to finish by 19:30. This time, I had an upgraded dinner, so it was a beautiful kaiseki meal and the amount was just right. There were two types of meat: pork shabu-shabu and chicken. Breakfast was a Japanese set meal, but juice, milk and coffee were a buffet. I told him that the accommodation fee is reasonable, the bath and meals are good, and the check-in is at 13:00, so it is a good accommodation for the second night after going to Izu. I would use it again.

For meals, I recommend the upgraded course. Since it is originally a reasonable inn, it is not expensive even if you upgrade. Dinner is from 6:00 to 19:30 and ends at 19:30. Almost everything is set on the table, but some dishes are served later. The rice pot is on fire. There were small potato bulbs in the rice pot. For alcohol, 300cc of local sake was 1200 to 1300 yen. I drank local sake last time, so this time I had beer. Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 8:30. It is a Japanese set meal, and juice, milk, fruit, and coffee are self-service. It is a well-balanced breakfast. The food and hot springs are good, so I will use it again.

It was my first solo trip in a long time, and in the heavy rain, I walked up a steep hill and a narrow downhill from the bus stop. The quality of the water in both the indoor and outdoor baths was good, so I went in many times. The dinner looked and tasted good, and I liked the rice pot with mugwort and edamame. The breakfast was also satisfying. Although it is a resort, I would like to visit with my family during the autumn leaves season if I can make a reservation.

The food has gotten better and better. If you stay here, you won't be able to stay at any other hotel in Hakone. The hot springs are also amazing. This food for this price. I don't think other hotels can compete. Check-in at 1pm is very convenient for our family.

I have known that hot springs are good for 20 years. Riyo was also delicious every time. The meat was delicious this time. The scent and taste were great. Simmered food is also a first-class chef. It was a great night.
