"The rooms were larger than those in Tokyo and Osaka, but the location was a little far from Hakone-Yumoto, about a ten-minute walk, mainly because pushing suitcases uphill was a bit tiring 😆. There were many restaurants and snack stalls along the way from the station to the hotel. The hotel environment was quite nice and felt rather new. Our room was by the river, and we could fall asleep to the sound of the river at night. We didn't go to the public bath; we paid extra to reserve a private onsen bath for the next morning. After soaking in the bath, we enjoyed a hearty breakfast, perfectly concluding our two-day, one-night onsen trip."

"The hotel itself is not bad - beds are comfortable and large, and the dinner is okay, but nothing too special. This hotel overwhelmingly caters to families, which is evident when staying there: there are many children, and a lot of the amenities cater to them as well. For example the sauna is not very hot and there’s a lot of candies in the free snack bar. I wish the hotel was better at communicating / marketing this on their website, as I’m not the intended audience and it’s very expensive for a mediocre experience. As well, the breakfast timing is questionable - only available from 7am - 8:30am, along with a 10am checkout time this is quite an early start and not very relaxing."

"Check in took quite some time as there were many guests checking in at 3pm. The hotel has a western ryokan feel. It has 2 onsens which they alternate between men and women and I suggest going to both. The one on level 5 has a waterfall view. Dinner was buffet style and the variety was great. I super love the fresh Sashimi, the miso soup, the tempura and sushi, snow crab etc. Room was clean and spacious with our own outdoor Onsen bath. Would love to come back."

"The location is really convenient. It takes only a few minutes to get up and take the mountain tram. It is perfect to avoid the crowds. I also like breakfast. The pasta salad children love it. It’s the hot spring that almost means, no bathrobes, bath towels, a little old. But overall very good"

The hot spring having both indoor and outdoor pools is impressive. The dining experience is fantastic because the setting is cosy and the food is extremely delicious. The mattresses, neither too soft, nor too hard, are very comfortable."

"I arrived pretty late at night, but the staff was still very kind and helpful, which I really appreciated. The room was clean and comfortable, and I felt relaxed right away. Breakfast wasn’t a huge buffet, but every dish tasted fresh and made with care, and I actually preferred that. You could feel the quality in each item. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely come back. Thanks for the warm hospitality!"
