I came to this house for one night. And, indeed, it felt like home. The hotel hostess speaks very good English and in the morning her husband can make you breakfast. I chose the common room and it was very cozy and clean. With a heart. There were pictures of family members everywhere and beautiful decor 😊. It was like I was visiting a Vietnamese family. The hostess let me stay the second night for free because my bus was 5:40. She was very kind and caring. Good air conditioning also 😁

The Location is very convenient, just aside the main road. The home is very clean and silent. The owners are cooperative. The beds are good with a locker below them. Toilets are clean with all needed facilities. A must stay place. Imp thing : KFC is just 20m away 😂

The staff are so friendly and helpful. Hien the host send over lots of great ideas of what to do when we were there. Ha long is such a beautiful place. I feel very lucky to have gone here. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the boat tour.

The hostel is ok overall is just overprice, is a very simple hostel, with no great location and I think you can get something very similar for half price. I book this place because I thought they did free tours, as they said in hostel world descriptions but when I ask the lady about the tours she said that they only do paid ones and they where to busy for the free ones. The good things about the hostel is that is clean and the staff is helpful.

A very very comfortable hostel. Hien is one of the best owners I’ve ever met. We had a delicious family dinner with her. She is so helpful at getting tours or transports… highly recommended to stay you nights in ha long in this beautiful Homestay. Feels like home from the very first minute

A truly superb stay with Hien and her husband. Their hospitality was on another level; we truly felt like part of the family. In addition, the food that was offered at both dinner and breakfast was supreme. Thank you Halo Bay for a great stay, we are already planning our next trip! FIVE STAR

The best home stay I’ve ever stayed at. Hien and her husband were amazing hosts, we shared delicious homecooked meals with them. Hien’s cooking was divine; no restaurant can compare to her food. Their compassion and hospitality were wonderful, they helped us with everything. The rooms were clean, modern and perfect. I could not recommend Halo bay home stay enough to travellers it truly was the at the zenneth of my travelling experience. You have to stay here!!!! The best place in Ha Long Bay ❤️❤️

Where do I start, Hien and Quang were just lovely! Me and my partner Tess had never really stayed in a homestay before but right from the start Hien made us feel at home chatting away about her life and home of Halong Bay. Offering us to join her family for a Vietnamese dinner as it was a celebration meal as her son had just returned from University. Can I just say the best spring rolls in the whole of Vietnam too! Then the next morning we had a lovely breakfast while Hien played her guitar. Telling us of her beautiful stories about how she learned to play. Just amazing! Also the rooms...Very clean and we found it being a lovely personal touch how Quang had hand made the bed, lights and most of the interior of the room. In terms of needing transport or looking to book trips absolutely brilliant too. Quang gave us lift to Bay for good price and they sorted our bus for our next trip. Just all in all a lovely personal experience. We most certainly will be looking into more homestays but not sure if this will ever be topped! Thanks again Oliver and Tess!
