Good quality of bed, well thought-of bathroom with lots of shelves to put items on. Large & excellent breakfast buffet, incl. professional coffee machine with lots of choices. Came with no expectations, but the hostel delivered good quality for money - and the view from Hovdetun was super. There was tennis courts and a nice outdoor pond to bath in with lots of opportunities for families. The breakfast was, even though it was way smaller than you get at a hotel, the best on our summer journey. Homemade scrambled eggs topped it - and possibilities to get exactly what you want at any time. The rooms though was a little bit disappointing. Lived in a small cabin, with limited possibilities for fresh air, and a bathroom that needed refurbishing. The receptionist when we came were polite and nice, and gave us a great end to our trip to Gjøvik!

I started to give a room, but it was not cleaned, and then I gave a room very small. The photo I booked was a loft room. I gave a room on the patio on the second floor. It was noisy by the air-conditioning machine at night. I couldn’t sleep. And when I went out, I found that I could open the door without a card. I went to the front desk to give feedback and found that the lock was locked, so everyone must pay attention when staying in the hotel. Go out and pull the handle to see if there is no card.
