It is very good option to stay in Florence. Even though I stayed in a room with 8 beds, it was very comfortable. Clean, very nice, recommended. The location and cleanliness are very good. I can say that I wish I had stayed here for both nights.

We booked this hotel on Expedia with the option of pay at property. We emailed the hotel after booking to let them know we wouldn’t be arriving until about 9pm (their service desk is not open 24/7.) It took a couple of weeks to get a response but we were advised we would be given a code to let ourselves in to the building. We emailed again a couple of days before our arrival to remind the staff, we got a prompt response with full details, with entry code and room number. The staff also sent a separate email with a map attached so we would know how to get there from the train station. Our room was larger than expected, nice and clean with bottled water in the fridge. There is a common room where breakfast is served each morning. We did not pay for breakfast, but it was included anyway by the staff which is very thoughtful of them. There was croissants, pastries, cereals, yoghurts and juice. The hotel also has a little outdoor terrace with tables and chairs. We stayed from Monday 19th to Saturday 24th of August in room 6. Unfortunately my partner came ill very early Wednesday morning, he spent Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in bed all day. When I saw Catalina on Thursday in the common room, she asked how I was. I told her I was fine but my boyfriend was ill, I asked if it would be possible to have the bathroom cleaned and some fresh towels. She came to our room with a cleaner (after I had finished breakfast) and did a thorough job cleaning the room, even putting fresh bottled water in the fridge. She said she would have a look in her bag to see if she had any suitable medication for him, she didn’t, but then recommended a pharmacy for me to visit. She cleaned the room again on Friday, it was nice having the reassurance of a clean room as I didn’t want to get ill either. When Catalina did see my partner, she seemed genuinely concerned and asked him how he was. Checkout time is 10am. We were still eating our breakfast at this time. Catalina could see I was hurrying to eat it, she told me not to rush and ‘you’re on holiday’, this was really kind of her as in the hotel we are currently staying in, we were still eating at 11am one day and the staff asked us to leave (even though she was still clearing up and we would have only been 5 minutes more) There are some negative points: •The WiFi was poor, it was useless connecting to it, so I used my phones data instead. •The air con in the room was temperamental, it kept switching off and you couldn’t really feel the cold air unless you stood in front of it. •This isn’t the hotels fault at all, but is something to consider anyway. There is building work going on outside, from around 8am and carrying on gone 7pm. Even with ear plugs in, you could still hear the drilling and banging. We paid £388.39 for our stay which was reasonable. There is a little shop, Carrefour Express, just down the street. Review of Hotel Firenze 2000 which also goes by Youth Hotel Firenze 2000. WARNING! Do not go to this “hotel”! I travel around the world and stay in hotels of various star ratings but I have never stayed in a hotel as bad as this one. Where shall I begin? It is a 2-star hotel, so my expectations were not high. I wanted clean and safe. To begin with, I was required to wire transfer from the bank the entire amount of the hotel stay, including the taxes. I reserved 7 rooms for 12 people. The cost was the same as the 4-star hotels, but I couldn’t get 7 rooms. Then, as I requested that 6 of the rooms have twin beds instead of one larger one, I was charged an extra $50 per night, per room. That was a total of $600 for 2 nights. (I was charged in Euros but it was similar to dollars.) When we arrived, we saw that all of the beds in all of the rooms were twin beds. Some were pushed together to make a larger bed. When I complained, I was told that some of the rooms were upgraded. The upgrade was 2 twin beds pushed together and a cot as the second bed. If you are required to stay at this hotel, do not pay extra for twin beds. It is all they have! I asked for the $600 back because they were all twin beds but was told no. By the way, they were all hard as a rock and looked like they were from the 1960s child’s bedroom and well worn. The tile floors looked stained with dirt. One of the rooms had a shower that had black mold around the bottom edges of the shower. The people in that room thought it was safer to just not shower. When I brought it to the attention of Aldo, who I believe is the manager, he said it is the silicone. I told him that silicone is not black and that it is mold. He claimed to not understand what I was saying. The mold was around the whole bottom perimeter of the shower. His response is that this is the best 2-star hotel. Nope! We proceeded to the next room where the toilet would not properly flush. He took the lid of the tank off and said it is broke and just take the tank lid off to flush. I told his that this was unacceptable but was told there was nothing he could do. Another incident occurred in the middle of the night. There was a room in the hotel with a crying child and a barking dog, apparently without an adult. I didn’t find out about this until the next day from the people in that hallway who were kept up for hours. I don’t know why the hotel staff didn’t contact the police and let this persist for hours but it ruined the next day for many people because they were exhausted. There is not an elevator so be aware that you will have to carry your luggage up the stairs. Some rooms have no windows. When asked twice to call taxis, each time it was a challenge. I don’t know if it was the system they use but I didn’t have any trouble in any other areas. I asked for two large taxis about 1 hour before we needed them but they didn’t call them until we needed to leave and then proceeded to tell me it was the taxi company’s fault. We had to

Essendo un hostello il rapporto qualità prezzo delle camere con bagno non è adeguato, il bagno infatti è un wc chimico e in camera assolutamente inaccettabile la presenza di numerose zanzare che rendono impossibile il sonno.

Housed in a beautiful old building in a very central location. The character of the building has been well maintained in the public areas and our suite had lovely contemporary decor which mixed perfectly with the 18th century painted ceiling. Within easy walking distance of all the main attractions and plenty of restaurants and cafes. Great value for money. But best of all has to be the amazing staff - extremely friendly, patient and courteous and nothing was too much trouble for them. Would definitely recommend this wonderful hotel.

I had problems trying to find a hotel in Florence at short notice and ended up booking a room at this hotel. First I should explain that this hotel is on the second and third floor of a building. I was given a room by the stairs, which by the way are made of wood I think, so the noise of people going up and down was terrible. There is a lift, but it will only take you from the ground floor to the reception, so if you have a suitcase and you are given a room on the third floor, you have to drag it up the stairs, near to where my room was. My room was big enough, with 2 single beds, and a bathroom almost the same side of the room, painted in red! and very dark, even with the light on. The room and bathroom were clean and my linen and towels were changed every day. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice, eggs, cereal, fresh fruit, cheese, cold meat, etc. Unfortunately the reception area was dirty. There are 2 or 3 settees with a material cover, which has not been washed for some time. The location of this hotel is excellent. 15 mns to the Duomo and 30 mns to the Ponte Vecchio. The guys at the reception were very helpful, polite and one of them, on the night shift, (regrettably I did not ask his name) never stopped smiling. Great service. Would I recommend this hotel? Yes but make sure you are giving a room away from the stairs.

The location is first-class, the environment is very good, the breakfast is comfortable, and the service is absolute. This hotel is really not a good place to go on a business trip, and I like it very much. But the facilities make people feel uncomfortable, although the owner should be sincere. The air conditioning system seems to have cost a lot of money, but guests cannot control it themselves. They need to contact the front desk every time and it starts very slowly, which makes people feel troublesome. The lights in the toilet are so bright that you probably won't be able to sleep if you go to the toilet at night. There were bugs in the room. I saw an electric mosquito coil, but I didn't think it was bedbugs. Fortunately, I didn't find any itching problem after staying for two nights. The front desk clerk checks in and sends you to your room after completing the check-in process. Haha, it feels weird. If the hotel and room facilities are quite satisfactory, you don't need such service. The curtains in the room are also weird. The outermost layer is half-opened. Haha, the shape is unique. The wardrobe is also weird. This is the first time I am so confused about reviewing a hotel. Overall it is good, but I feel that many places are a bit strange. So I canceled my last night's stay and moved to another hotel.

This was my first hostel experience on my own and it was soooo good! I felt very safe, staff super friendly, the room and common areas had everything you could ever need! Locker in the room was huge... I had enough space to keep all my things safe, but you need to bring your own padlock (maybe the hostel could make that clear on the booking? although I was prepared, another lady in the room was not ;)). Location great, very close to station (but far enough away that it wasn't a problem....), very close to the sites, restaurants and bars. I would happily return to an Ostello Bello! Grazie

Location: walk less than 10 min from train station but beware with your trolley because many dog ****s and urine for pedestrian. Services: room with good shampoo, bath form and body lotion and room is clean Room: spacious and coffee machine and hot water at lobby FOC. But 2 facing also have train sounds and I prefer facing mountain view.
