Nice comfortable, clean room . Good nights sleep on a comfortable bed. Cooked breakfast was not good. The bacon looked as though it wasn't cooked. It was also cold. We had toast and fruit the second morning as neither of us enjoyed the cooked breakfast.

Everything else about the hotel was good: clean, the restaurant had nice food, the parking was great etc. Normal Premier Inn stock. UNTIL... we woke up in the morning after our one night stay to zero hot water. None. The taps in the bathroom were cold. So I went downstairs, spoke to a staff member to be told oh yes the boilers switched themselves off by mistake, she just popped them back on, give it 15 mins it'll be hot again. I thought ok, you know these things happen no bother. Half an hour later there was still no hot water. We obviously had places to be and I had no plans to spend the morning walking around a hotel in my jammies trying to find a staff member to talk about the temperature of water, so we boiled the tiny room kettle and just had a wash at the sink. No shower for us. On the way out upon checking out, my mum decided to complain about this situation. She got a completely different explanation, the manager saying that the hotel was full and the boiler was overloaded! It hadn't gone off at all. No apology either. It's literally a modern building. Absolutely baffling and shocking. Hot water is the least you expect from a hotel. I wonder if it's been fixed?? Either way the young, inexperienced, dishonest staff left a very bitter taste in my mouth. Definitely wouldn't return which is a shame.

As we were a family going to celebrate our nieces wedding locally to Thirsk, the location of the premier was perfect 🤩 we were meeting up with other family too so were delighted that premier now offer a menu and drinks 🍷 thank you to the team who worked there, so friendly xx

One night stay over in Thirsk - the room was very nice it all looked very new, one big issue though, no hot water, not sure if it was included in the £50 cost of the room! And a "yes we know about it" from the 10 year old on reception didnt really cut it.

More coffee pods would of been nice, and the breakfast at £10.99 was very poor. Food was not hot and wasn't cooked very well. Very disappointed with the food, my wife left hers it was that bad. Lovely room but poor food which is over priced

The rooms are fine but two members of staff let it down. Arrived after 2pm but before 3pm. We asked if our rooms were ready and were told yes BUT we would need to pay an extra £10 each to get access. When asked why, the receptionist smugly said ‘you won’t find a Premier Inn that won’t charge you for early entry’. This is nothing more than corporate thievery. We are on a 21 night tour staying exclusively at Premier Inns. We also asked AHEAD for ground floor rooms for two people (one who is ill and one who cares for that person). Another simple request that became an issue. Come morning, a member of housekeeping harassed us to leave our room before check out time. All in all an unpleasant experience due to certain staff.

For a flying visit to Thirsk this is a clean, modern but basic stay for £46 for one night. Can’t complain! There’s no bar but the staff happily served us from the restaurant. The chicken curry was actually pretty good. Next time we’ll take our own pillows. Does what it says on the tin 😉
