Great staff, from Vanedsa on reception to all the lovely wsiting on staff and chamber maids. Worth paying a bit extra for the view. Lovely big bed and very clean room. A proper adjustable shower, great for washing long hair...or not...yoyr choice! Hotel decor kept in good order. Great breakfast and really good quality of food evenings in the dining room. Highly recommended.

Wonderful place to stay: the lakeside grounds were beautiful, the room was lovely with a huge and comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom, the spa was wonderfully relaxing, and the staff were wonderful. There's ample parking and it's walking distance into Grasmere itself. We didn't manage to eat dinner as they were fully booked before our arrival, which was a slight disappointment, but we had the bar menu one night, which was lovely.

First time in the Lakes for us A wonderful hotel, fantastic staff , food and rooms. Grasmere is a wonderful base point for traveling round the lakes. I’m a coeliac and I was very well catered for food wise, plenty of gluten free options for breakfast and dinner. Also used the spa facilities too. We highly recommend it here.

My husband and I visited for our 10th wedding anniversary and certainly were not disappointed in our experience at the Daffodil. From the moment we arrived all staff we met were very friendly, welcoming and would do anything to help. The room was spacious, clean and had everything you needed with a lovely view from both windows of the lake. The food in the lounge was lovely, good quality and not over priced, set in a relaxing environment. The breakfast was fab, everything you may have wanted and more. The location is great and a little walk into the village allows you to visit the few shops, cafes and bars. We will definitely be returning again to the Daffodil in the future.

This hotel is in a great location and an easy walk into Grasmere. The rooms are lovely and clean and the staff all super friendly and helpful who made our stay special. The spa is a great touch after long walks.

This was our 3rd visit to the Daffodil. As ever the hotel provided excellent service and quality. The location is beautiful, alongside the lake with views over the surrounding hills. Room was very comfortable and spacious - we had a superior lake view room. The spa is very good with a thermal pool (too shallow to swim in) but with built in Jacuzzi. Good steam room and Sauna. Restaurant is excellent with very nice food and attentive staff

This hotel is in a beautiful setting. The staff are so friendly and the food is very good. This was our third visit and hope it isn’t too long before we go again.
