My wife and I were on a Roadtrip from Seattle to San Francisco and planned to have 2 nights in Sonoma but had nothing booked until 2 days before arrival. The Calderwood appeared on a Google Search and after some quick research, decided it was perfect for our needs. Being part of the Wilson Wineries, I read Free Tastings were part of the package so booked. Jude was great taking our room booking. KiKi was fab by booking Tasting Sessions over 3 days. She was also an awesome host and went above and beyond. We had a Standard Room and perfectly acceptable with charm and character. Being over 6ft the sloped ceiling in bathroom was not without its challenges 🤣. Breakfast just arrives when you sit down and you have no idea what to expect - bit of fun! Living area lovely. Don't pay much attention to the negative commemts - the Charlwood is fab. It's not a 5 or 4 Star official award but everything about our stay was 5*. Only ****** was check in times change so we saw nobody to check us in but excellent instructions were suffice and ,....... as said before in other Reviews, you miss out on the wine at Check In when you most want/need one!! Thanks Charlwood Team. Jonathan & Josephine

Very clean and quaint place. It’s a very well kept historical home and the free breakfast well planned and good. The little touches of fresh cookies when you return back from a long day, is very pleasant. The location is great and near everything. We would surely, return…

Calderwood is a very comfortable inn with a very relaxed vibe. Spacious living and outdoor areas gave plenty of space to relax after a day at the wineries. It Is an easy walk to the plaza for wine tasting or restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely stay at the Calderwood. The room was spacious, clean and uniquely decorated. Loved the shared areas downstairs which includes a large living room, dining room and a front porch. They had enclosed the front porch for the season, so we were still able to enjoy a glass of wine outside. The breakfast was delicious and filling with fresh ingredients. The Inn is located just a short walk to the downtown area with lots of restaurants, shops and tasting rooms.

The property was very beautiful and appropriately decorated with unique, special pieces. The chef prepared a delicious gourmet breakfast, and was very personal and friendly. Other than that, we would have been happier at any chain hotel down the road, and saved some money. The housekeeper was not clear at check in, giving one of us some instructions, and giving different written instructions to the other. We were asked to move our car after checking in, so moved it to street parking. We later found out that there was more secure parking further behind the property, but no one told us that. We left for dinner, and returned at 6:50, in the pouring rain, and were locked out, with no emergency number or code to the outside door. After FaceBook messaging the property and calling the local police we finally got a return call in about 20 minutes. Apparently the code was on the paper given to the spouse, who didn't do the checking in, and no code was mentioned to the person who did. We didn't bring that paper along to dinner. Furthermore, there was supposed to be an emergency phone number posted outside, and the next day there was. We were leaving earlier than the scheduled breakfast hour on our final day, and as suggested on "the paper", we requested "to-go" breakfasts of a muffin, and such. When we left the property at the hour we told the housekeeper that we would be leaving on the prior night, there was nothing prepared for us, and no one around to inquire with. Lastly, there were damp towels, neatly rolled up and placed along the wall behind the beautiful claw-foot bathtub, so the bathroom smelled like mold.

We were able to make a last-minute reservation on New Year’s Eve. (Had planned a day trip, but brought along overnight bags, jic!). Haley, our host, graciously welcomed us, and we had a wonderful overnight stay in the upstairs Mazzocco Room, where a bottle of Mazzocco’s 2021 Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel Verano was waiting for us. We checked in too late to snag a cookie, so we might just have to return soon! Breakfast was delicious and ample. The host and chef were gracious, and the house is beautifully appointed.

Great little gem walkable to downtown. Staff is very nice and helpful. Rooms are cozy and a nice getaway. The closet was a fun antique cabinet. Each room had a private bathroom and a TV. The bathroom for my room was rather small, but fine for a short trip by myself.

We had a wonderful stay. The only issue was that the fact that one of us is lactose-intolerant did not get communicated to the kitchen staff the first day, but when they did know they were very accommodating.

We loved our stay. Great location. Priced Right. Wonderful old property. We were in Healdsburg for just one night to pick up our wine club order at a different location. The price was very reasonable for the area. Some places can be quite pricey. Bonus, they were cool with a single night's reservation. The location is not in the main square, but we walked multiples times for all our stops. A leisurely stroll down the dedicated paved path was very simple. Or you could simple walk on the sidewalks. Healdsburg is definitely great for walking, jogging, biking, but especially walking. Room was clean and well appointed. This is a location originally built in 1902 but nicely updated for modern conveniences. Our room (DeLorimier) specifically was nice sized although it hand angled ceilings that might not be great for someone exceptionally. The window side of the bed had this issue, you will be great at any height in the left side. Speaking of size, the bathroom was a nice size for a building of this age, but the actual shower was a bit small. Someone of a larger stature might have an issue with the corner shower. I think that was specific to our room. I know for a fact that the Suite rooms are very nicely sized with luxurious sized bathrooms. We just needed a comfortable room that was clean, safe, and welcoming. We did get a giggle about the TV in our room. Think Michael Scott from the Office and the one Jan throws a candle at. That said, we did not go there for the TV. It was actually perfect for nap time in the late afternoon to rest of from a morning of good food and wine out on the town. Pictures for other rooms shows large TV's. The angled ceilings make it difficult to place anything larger on a vertical surface. The morning breakfast was delicious. Not huge portions and a there was just one main course on the menu, but the taste was wonderful. Friendly staff. There are a number of other B&Bs and wineries associated with the property owners, many within walking distance from the Calderwood Inn. A few wineries were just outside of the central square area of town. A short drive is all you need. The general Healdsburg area is loaded with wineries. If you like Napa and want to more relaxed, old timey kind of spot, this is where you should go. Wine, Beer, Mixed Drinks and Food Recommendations: - Black Oak Coffee Roasters (Awesome banana bread and good coffee) - Healdsburg Bar and Grill - Casual food, great place for a family with kids or a friends wanting a bite to eat and some wine, beer and a cocktail. - Roof 106 is a good choice for dinner, but make a reservation. Lunch was easier for a walk-in on a previous visit. - Costeaux French Bakery is busy for breakfast on weekends but worth the wait. - Gallina D'Oro, or the Hen of Gold (formerly El Farolito) is super good mexican food. I think the name change happened in Oct 2023. - Breathless Wines if you are into the bubbly. Can't say enough about the wines, outdoor tasting area, and staff. Always a
