Let me preface with this, we’re not the type of family who need luxury. We don’t seek out the very best in finery. We want a nice holiday, a cozy place to sleep, and lots of things to do when we need to. Reading some of these other reviews I do wonder how oppressive peoples homes must be considering they expect gold lined streets from their hotels. So - our room. Two beads, one room, a shower and a toilet. Perfect. We needed somewhere to sleep after a long day of messing about in the sea and pools and this was a delight. Cool with the air con and blinds shut, easy to access and spacious enough to put all your excess junk away when you don’t need it. The safe could have been slightly bigger - it fits the iPad Pro but on a real angle. The house keeping was great although we normally don’t bother (seems odd to me getting my bed made) - this was on me, though, as I didn’t realise there was a hanger I could have put on the door. I’m not a smart man apparently. Food - the restaurants are lovely. Some described it as a school canteen and I have no idea what posh school they went to, but that wasn’t my experience. It’s a varied selection of food - some staples for the fussy guts amongst you, and lots to try for those wanting to explore more. I’ve genuinely eaten my own weight in fish and I’d never thought I’d have said that. The beer could be stronger, but it’s nice enough. I just wish they’d have committed to either stronger/nicer or fully traditional. There are two in different places and they are exactly the same imo. Do I think it’s worth marking them down for? Nah. Staff - honestly they’re all lovely. I do worry about how long the Greek working day is at times, but everyone has had a smile on their face and been immensely helpful. I came down with an ear infection on my stay and they helped me a ton. So, to sum this up - no you’re not getting the absolute best that money has to offer, but maybe you need to look internally if that’s all that brings you happiness. If you have a family with young children, they’re going to have a lovely time. You may just have to plan things when you fancy a change.
