"I had the great fortune to stay here for a week with my friend, who had been here 4 times prior to this . It was so beautifully laid out along the beach it had 3 pools ? Several restaurants, a spa and a gym . We were upgraded to a junior suite with such a beautiful view of the beach . The room was lovely , very spacious and very clean . The staff were all so lovely .And nothing was top much trouble. A special shout out to Socrates the barman in the pool bar , he was hilarious and great fun . The food was amazing in the Asian fusion restaurant and Maria was lovely . She remembered my friend from her previous stays and greeted her warmly. They even had a Cat Cafe where the guests could feed the local cats , which really meant a lot to me as I love cats. Everything was perfect. The only small downside was the channels on the TV..they were all in German The majority of people that stay there are German, they were all very quiet and pleasant, but it would have been nice to have a couple of English channels for when we got back to our room in the evening."

"We’ve just spent 8 lovely days at this wonderful small hotel. We stayed in an adults only suite which was beyond amazing. Massive comfortable bed, enormous bathroom with twin sinks a large shower and separate bathtub. The photos on the website cannot do it justice! The whole place is kept spotless, the views are amazing and the level of service are the best we’ve known in Greece. We went for the half board option and the breakfast and dinner were of superb quality. However, the main attribute of Creta Blue are the staff. From Mary, our room cleaner to George the owner everyone is one team working so hard for their guests. Special mentions for Maria and Sofia working tirelessly from before breakfast to after lunch smiling and chatting to guests like old friends. Lavinia, the sommelier whose knowledge of wines was second to none and all the other evening staff in the restaurant (too many names to remember, sorry!) everybody was amazing. Most people we spoke to were returning guests, which speaks volumes. Quite simply the most relaxing holiday we’ve ever had. Thank you everyone at Creta Blue"

"The hotel is clean and well-maintained, both in the rooms and throughout the common areas. The staff, especially at the pool bar and in housekeeping, were very friendly and helpful. The nearby beach was beautiful and easily accessible, and the pool itself was nice, offering a pleasant place to relax – if you managed to get a pool bed! Unfortunately, towels were left on pool chairs for hours every day (sometimes up to three hours) to reserve spots, making it difficult for others to find a place. People would claim chairs early in the morning and then disappear to get ready, eat breakfast, and have a relaxing morning knowing their favorite pool spot was waiting for them. This went against hotel policy, but management did nothing, even after we raised the issue. This made mornings stressful for us, as we didn’t want to reserve chairs unfairly but still wanted to secure a place by the pool. The hotel seems to be expanding, adding more rooms, which might worsen the already overcrowded pool situation in the future. Happy hunting! :) Further, the hotel itself feels poorly designed and built, with some areas seeming unbalanced or awkwardly arranged. Our room lacked attention to detail; many things were crooked or improperly installed. The phone and TV didn’t work properly however they did fix the TV quickly after we mentioned it. There was also an issue of outside noise due to the lack of a door between the hallway and bedroom and at one point, the power was cut off without any notice, leaving us without electricity and water. It turned out to be planned maintenance and not an emergency, so advance notice would have been appreciated. Another major concern was the lack of understanding regarding dietary needs. There was confusion over vegan and vegetarian dishes – one menu labeled dishes as vegan, while another labeled them as vegetarian. When we asked the staff, they treated the two as the same thing. "Vegan, vegetarian? It's the same!" This is unacceptable, especially for guests with allergies, like those to dairy. Proper training for the staff is urgently needed to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests. The surrounding area is heavily touristy and lacks the authenticity one might expect from a more traditional Greek experience. It felt more like a typical charter destination than anything unique or local. In summary, while the hotel has some good qualities, such as its cleanliness, friendly staff, and proximity to a nice beach, several issues need to be addressed – particularly the staff’s understanding of dietary needs and the issue with reserving pool beds, as well as the lack of enough beds for all guests, especially with the upcoming expansion of the hotel. Sadly, we will not be returning."

"We visited this hotel in September 2nd 2025 . Beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting on the beach. We found the staff especially in the restaurant rude and not very friendly. The barman in the upstairs bar was lovely and friendly. There was not enough sunbeds to cater for such a large hotel. The rooms were spotless and the maids did a brilliant job. The lift was very small and slow and was quicker to walk down the stairs which were dangerous slippery. Pool was very cold too. Overall a lovely hotel just spoilt with the unfriendliness of the restaurant staff ."

"The good point is that there are always places by the pool, no sunbed wars and the food is good but can be repetetive. The reception is nice and helpful, the hotel is however on a hill and quite far from town centre to walk. The massages in the hotel is one of the best part, we went with our whole family and it was great, so relaxing and peacefull and the massage therapists were amazing and listened to our needs. The bad points is the room. We have a family room and there is no ventilation at all. There is a bad smell in the room all the time and definetly needs renovating. There are barely any entertainments by the pool only rarely."
