Pros: Lovely rooms (two-bedroom) which had everything you needed. Nicely decorated and felt upscale. Hotel was slightly off the main road and rooms were quiet. HCMC roads are busy and noisy!! Small but clean gym, small playground for kids (indoor and outdoor). Pool is big and clean. Restaurant area next to pool. Lobby and reception area is very nice, smells good and has a luxurious feel. Location was good, near the zoo. Cons: only one: breakfast. Vietnamese food is very good but this was the hotel’s weakest link. Limited choice and not that delicious, if you got there after 8.30am almost all the warm food was cold. Hope this can be improved.

We chose the Somerset Chancellor due to it’s location and the ability to comfortably fit our family of five. The apartments are relatively basic but clean and comfortable with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment, we did need help with plane tickets and the team on the desk were great, helping us work through. The convenience store attached to the hotel was very handy!

The room is super big, and we will be upgraded to the most luxurious 4-bedroom upon arrival at the store. All kinds of kitchen utensils are complete, and I like the design of the living room. It is spacious/comfortable/suitable for office and leisure; the hotel has sky gardens, swimming pools, running tracks, and children's playgrounds, which are super large ; It's just that the location is a bit far from the city, but it doesn't affect the accommodation experience. I will still choose this place if I have a chance in the future.

Friendly staff and well appointed clean modern apartment with great views. Beds were comfortable and the apartment was spotless and well maintained. Kudos to the housekeeping and maintenance staff. The development also has a Starbucks and grocery store in the Oxygen Mall right next to the Hotel. There are also a couple of other malls within a 5 min taxi ride. Very convenient. We travelled from the airport to hotel via Grab app private hire car and it cost less than VND200k. Inexpensive and convenient. Travel to attractions in the city was fuss free with a daily free shuttle bus provided by the hotel. Driver was helpful and friendly. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, including the security at the front door. Special thanks to front desk staff Dennis and housekeeping staff Ngoc and Yloang. Thank you for making my family’s stay comfortable. Highly recommended this hotel.

Our holiday was ending- Thailand, followed by Vietnam. Although we had planned to sightsee in Ho Chi Minh, we were both unwell with a cold, so as it turned out, this was the perfect hotel in which to recover. The breakfasts were superb and one could enjoy same until 10.30 am! Phenomenal breakfasts, variety galore and Service. We loved our spacious and comfortable accommodation - well serviced. The pool area was not crowded, but very soothing. A staff member who was often present was very accommodating providing cold drinking water and the odd fruit refreshment. On our last evening, we discovered a shortish walk to a good shopping area & various, lovely restaurants although prior to that, it was easy to enjoy the variety of dishes on the dinner menu at the main hotel restaurant. The clientele were also generally very nice. Not far from the airport. We will return.

It’s worth the price!! Rooftop pool is amazing for the sunset and the sunrise …I fell in love with you Zen Hotel.. I like how they have endless hot water even though I took a bath at room. Because some hotels in Vietnam runs out of hot water if you use too much. And I love the shampoo and body soap they provide!!’

We are able to check in early, however the room’s window was pathetically small, I understand that it may due to the privacy which is too near to next room’s window but there’s curtain to serve it’s purpose. So after all the automated curtains drawing defeat it’s purpose. We ask for additional bottled water but got rejected and tell us to buy in a sarcastic manner, I understand that it’s the hotel’s policy to give only 1 bottle water per pax each day however the tone of telling us to go buy can be improve. And also the bathtub is quite high, seniors staying there may need to take note. Apart from all these, still had a good stay~ there’s a convenience store right opposite of the hotel which is a plus sign.

The room is clean. The location is also good. The bad thing is the breakfast, not much varieties. We stayed there for 4 days. The first day we get up early and food were still available even though not variety. The second day, we went for breakfast at 9AM, everything empty only bread and one curry left, I asked for white rice to eat with curry but they mentioned that no more. Then the 3rd day, we went early around 8:15/8:20, also same nothing left even no rice. We really disappointed and the last day we even didnt go for lunch, we just order from Grab.

The hotel is in the heart of the city closed to the main touristic spots. What impressed me the most was the cleaninless of the aisle, It smells like a clinic. Spotless! The breakfast was amazing, wide selection of Asian and western options, they even served the bouche de Noel for Xmas! Really a good experience. The personnel at the front desk was happy to help us, and there was a nice art exhibition held in the lobby too.
