YHA Hobart Central Reviews

I came to Australia alone and glad to meet many kind local people. They are very friendly including these Yha receptionists. The Yha is very close to CityHall and city Interchange Stop… It is convenient to many places.

Clean and tidy, convenient for travel

It's great. The sheets are all new. The restroom is very clean. The location is great. It's very close to the pier and can be reached on foot. The visitor center is also nearby.

Very clean rooms and bathrooms/showers. Bed was comfortable. Noisy street but can't be helped. Adequate accommodation. Friendly helpful staff

I chose a cheap backpacker, and I thought it was worth the price, for better or worse. The location was close to the paid shuttle bus from the airport, and I was very satisfied with the fact that I was able to pick up my scheduled tour! There are multiple rooms with showers and toilets in separate rooms, but in some cases the toilet seat was missing, and the towels for the bath mats were left in a not-so-clean condition. That's too bad. As for towels, you can get new ones if you ask at the reception, but this reception closes at 10pm and seems to close quickly, so people who take a shower late may want to be careful. . Also, I arrived on time and tried to check in, but the person at the reception was away so I couldn't get in and had to wait for about 15 minutes, which I thought was typical of Australia lol.

Nice place to stay for a couple of nights. Good location near Salamanca, piers, etc. very helpful staff. Highly recommend

Clean and well kept. Not very social of a hostel, but the location was great!

It's okay to live alone in Hobart, and the bathroom is clean, but it's easy to wake up the roommate on the upper bunk if he turns around and makes any movement.

Very good. The location is very convenient. It is opposite the museum. It is also convenient to walk to the pier. There are restaurants and supermarkets around. The room is locked with a password. There are several bathrooms and bathrooms available. Good

The accommodation environment is ideal, the location is excellent, and the transportation to the scenic spots is convenient. There is a bar downstairs where you can gather with friends. The only thing to consider is that there is no elevator. It is recommended to pack large luggage into large bags before departure and carry it in two times to reduce the risk of sprains.

Good Location

We stayed in a private room, with its own bathroom. Excellent option for the budget conscious. Everywhere we needed to go was within ten minutes strolling distance :) Highly recommended. We would definitely stay here again :) :)

The hostel is centrally located in Hobart. That is it's great advantage. However that does come at a cost as it's located on one of the busiest streets in Hobart, both day and night, with large trucks as well as cars passing. Beneath its many rooms and dormitories is a bar. It's a very nice bar, but its patrons can be very noisy in the late evening. The hostel staff are friendly and efficient and do their best to keep the hostel clean & neat. Some of their guests, however, need a lesson or two on social living and how to pick up and clean up after themselves. The common room and kitchen are small and workable. Large common spaces are unnecessary in a town with a wealth of affordable and pleasant places to eat, drink and play. I enjoyed my stay and look forward to a return visit. Hobart certainly has a lot to offer.
