New York Guest House

It was a bit hard to find this place as it's located inside a very old mall. Check in was easy, but I was shocked there was no front desk reception. I was greeted by a person at the door. My room did not look like the photos. My room looked like a bathroom that was converted into a sleeping space. Cleanliness wasn't that great: I found a long hair on my bath towel, some weird stains on counter surfaces, moldy grout in between tiles, and the fan/AC was dusty. Service staff was good during the day. However, I could not find a service staff at 3AM when my AC kept making a loud dripping noise for the past 4 hours, so I couldn't sleep on my last night. Pros: Great Location Helpful staff, when available Low Cost There is a communal fridge and hot water dispenser Cons: Not as clean Inside an old facility Hard to find The outside smells when you open the window, so you must rely on the AC or fan inside your room for air circulation.

Over-rated budget hotel. The location is however very central to shopping, eating, sight-seeing, and most travellers' activities. It is not as clean as what was rated. If you are on a budget, this hotel may appeal to your liking.

Good location and good price

This hotel is very cheap with good service and clean. the location is most suitable to go to restaurent and mall around the corner. can get bus go to airport at front of the hotel bus stop.

Not bad for what it is around. The staff was nice and the price correct. Owner is nice too. Great for a change in Hong Kong...

Small but you get what you pay for. Hard to find at first but good location for public transport. Good for short stays as bathroom is quite small.

I booked here the day before the HK marathon. If you want to feel like Harry Potter in his uncle and aunt’s house then this is the place for you. Also if you don’t mind ACs rattling whilst you try sleep then by all means, go for it. Close to Nathan road and all the fun stuff there too.

We knew we weren't getting luxury here, but this really is a budget room that isn't very budget friendly. Be careful if you are tall, as the beds are not long, and some are blocked by walls. Location is amazing though!

It’s a hostel so it’s just for sleeping. Spent 2 nights, I was upgraded on arrival to a bigger room. They offer bathroom slippers, body wash, shampoo, toothbrush and a towel. Location is good, MTR is literally 2 min away. It was okay.
