Catering mainly for an older clientele (I just turned 52 so felt like a baby), this is a perfectly functional hotel which must surely have held 4-star status once upon a time. Staff are pleasant and efficient, rooms are very clean and comfortable and amenities are good: decent pool and ample breakfast. I have a 13-year history with Hua Hin and it was the last place I spoke to my late grandma so this was like a final tribute as she also passed away nine years ago on the day I checked out. Overall, I would say this will not disappoint those who are looking for a bit of everything with their stay and is near the downtown area and beach with plenty of great restaurants, bars and - of course - proper massage places on the doorstep. Hua Hin Grand Hotel and Plaza is a convenient centre location in the heart of Hua Hin and the hotel is clean.It 's close to Hua Hin train station and it's not too far from the beach, great breakfast,the staff are nice , smiley ,friendly and great services.The hotel is close to Market Village , convenience stores and 5 minutes by car or 20 minutes walk to Hua Hin Night Market.I highly recommended Hua Hin Grand Hotel and Plaza to anyone who is looking for long term stay or short term holiday.

The hotel has a beautiful view during the day of the mountains and the pool facilities were nice and seemed clean to me. The hotel is definitely old but overall it was a nice stay for me!

The staff here are incredibly rude, from the front desk to housekeeping. It was a nightmare. I came back from swimming at 4:30 PM, and there was no hot water – it was a complete breakdown. The soundproofing is terrible; I kept having nightmares sleeping in this room, and the mirror was directly facing the bed. Seriously, avoid this place! The duvet and pillows are all pilled. Plus, a staff member just walked into my room without knocking while I was changing, which was a huge shock! This place is genuinely awful.

Location is excellent for Market Village, soi 88 & soi 94, the beach and the town. Friendly staff, room was spotless. Swimming pool is fabulous with plenty of sun beds. No hesitation in recommending The Grand hotel.

This hotel is quite good. Although it's a bit old, it still retains the feel of a former grand star-rated hotel. The hygiene is excellent and it's very clean. The room is also very spacious. I booked a standard room but was surprisingly given a sea-view room. It's within walking distance of the shopping center, though the surroundings are a bit desolate. After all, Hua Hin is a quiet little town. Overall, it's very good, and I would stay here again.
