Got a call day of checkin stating that they never received payment from *******, so if I wanted to keep my reservation they needed cc payment over the phone. Staff, Donna, told me to handle issue with *******. I had to argue and handle issue myself even though Hampton staff knew what the issue was in regard to virtual card from *******.
Breakfast was horrible. Even the yogurt was inedible due to them serving it frozen. Coffee was super weak. We didn’t have a phone in our room, the bathroom door was very difficult to slide open and close, and I found a quarter size cookie crumb upon entry to our room first day.
The late night front desk workers were very nice, but we will not be staying at this Hampton Inn next time we are in town. We have used ******* for 15 years with no issue, and this was like pulling teeth to get resolved with us doing the majority of the legwork. If you don’t want to use ******* at your hotel, don’t offer it. Telling me “this is why we don’t recommend using third party to book” after I’ve already booked at your hotel is completely nonsensical and useless information. Totally unimpressed overall but the payment issue was incredibly frustrating.
