Small intimate Camp, set in it's own concession, just outside Hwange National Park. Beautiful location, with a Waterhole directly in front of camp, so while chilling you can watch all sorts of wildlife come to drink. The rooms are very comfortable , with wonderful views and both inside and outside showers. Only down side is the 45-60 minute drive to get into the main park, but having said that, we did see Ellies, cheetah and two Lioness's plus two cubs on the drive in one morning. The Camp was very well run and while we were there, by Jamie the AM, who was brilliant. The whole team are fantastic, very friendly, always ready to chat and pour you a drink. The food was always freshly prepared and excellent. Our gude , Dudley was really good and tried to find everything for us and even took us on Bush Walk, very informative. We were very lucky, on two occasions having returned from a game drive, the Ellies decided to try and drink pool dry, fantastic to see,Highly recommend, but be prepared for drive to park, we were not.

Here I found a real home in the bosom of an African nature even though far away from home. I was not only watching the wildlife, but felt as true part of it. Very stylish lodge. There is a small lake where lot of animals are coming to drink. Anyhow there are some choosy elephants which prefer to drink de luxe water from the lodge pool. Owners, manager and staff are very professional, friendly, food is outstanding. Me and my two friends were enjoying every minute. This is the place where I want to get back again. Nothing was able to prepare me for something like this... Our stay was just breathtaking!

Khulu Ivory Lodge is a gem in the Hwange forest. We highly recommend the lodge for their amazing staff, location, food, animals, rooms, company, atmosphere, and sun downers. Given the chance we will stay at the Khulu Ivory again. The rooms are private bungalows complete with large comfortable beds, tea/coffee, refrigerator, private viewing deck, large clean bathroom, and a private outdoor shower and bathtub. We slept in perfect comfort and safety. The main lodge is beautiful and complete with a group dining table, well stocked bar, comfortable seating, and a deck pool. The meals are high class, exotic, and filling. The pool!!! If you are an animal lover take a swim in the pool when the elephants are present. They will come up and drink their fill of water while you are a few feet from these majestic animals. The staff and safari guides are the best quality of the lodge. They are outgoing, welcoming, well versed in the bush, animals, and trails. We cannot say enough about our time at the lodge and want to thank the staff. Kyle

Our whole experience at the Ivory Lodge was outstanding. After arriving via the unfinished road from Victoria Falls, we had been guaranteed to be walking into paradise, this was not an understatement. We were a party of 16 who had not yet started feeling comfortable with each other but after our first Game Drive we were buzzing like old friends. Our guides were Partick and Zeb who both had great knowledge of their craft, working together to ensure we understood the rhythm of nature and the stars. We felt the rooms suited the surroundings. They were clean and the bed comfortable. The food was excellent and my husbands received a surprise birthday cake. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us and enhanced our stay. Nothing was too much trouble Would recommend to anyone and would go back again.

Could not have been better. The ever-changing views of wildlife right from the rooms was spectacular. Delightful staff, delicious food. Loved it all.

Firstly a big shout out for Fortune, the Lodge manager who could not have done more to make us feel particularly welcome. Otherwise a great stay was had at Ivory. Our chalet was well appointed with a great balcony view over to the waterhole. The common dining area and bar was well furnished and laid out and the ‘Hide’ in very close proximity to the waterhole was excellent, particularly at dusk and in the evening. Our guide was Zeb, who was knowledgeable, personable and who went the extra yard in trying to ensure we had the best game viewing available. The staff were very helpful and our chalet and the common areas were spotless. The only suggestion i would make is that small fridge in the chalet (not a lot of cost) would be a useful facility. We should be happy to return

Caleb was my guide and he was fabulous. Very knowledgeable and keen to share lots of information and also very kind. The lodge was fine but I found the food inedible most of the time. The home baked morning muffins had no taste, the beef , while tender was drowning in pepper and then a replaces beef was so salty that I couldn’t eat it. My agent had requested salads and I think I was only served one salad and the lettuce was so tired and the tomatoes were tasteless and the cucumbers were really mushy. Shockingly, there was no peanut butter so I was struggling to get my protein requirements. The fish tasted old and was fried and tasteless. I do hope improvements are made here with the food. I’ve been on Safari in multiple countries many many times and I found it a bit disheartening that the host did not take much interest other than a passing hello etc

My wife and I spent a fantastic 3 nights at Ivory Lodge in the Hwange National Park Zimbabwe. Ivory Lodge is part of the Amalinda Safari group and the various lodges are located on a private concession with open access to the park. (this allows animals to range freely between the two.) We stayed in accommodation 9, the presidential suite. All the accommodation is raised canvas sided framed with hard wood flooring and thatched roofing. Absolutely in keeping with its bush surrounds. There is a central eating area with bar and lounges and also a pool. Adjacent to this area is a fire pit and a nearby hide. The hide, the fire pit and all the accommodation overlook the waterhole to which all types of animals visit throughout the day and night. A troop of baboons is also onsite and plenty of bird species. The waterhole has resident crocodiles. All the staff were extremely friendly, always smiling and laughing and very helpful. Food was first rate and drinks are all inclusive from a well provisioned bar. Caleb was our guide, and I can’t say enough but him. Extremely knowledgeable and seemed to have the magic touch in finding wildlife on our twice a day safari outings. This was our first safari so nothing to compare it too, but we were extremely impressed and overjoyed at our experiences with Caleb. We had a small group, with only 4 of us for one night/day then 6 for the remainder of our stay. The accommodation we had was great, huge bed, shower and separate bath and a patio overlooking the waterhole. You can safely drink the tap water on site. This is a low power site however an in room kettle and hairdryer worked fine. Maybe bring a torch. Beds have a mosquito net around them and insect spray and repellent cream is supplied in each room. (Didn’t see many mosquitoes, just one, but other insects abound as should expected given the location) I can absolutely recommend this place and would happily return. One thing of note that is beyond the control of this place. The road from Victoria Falls is atrocious, so if coming by road make sure to check that your vehicle is suitable, use a reputable transfer service. Otherwise you will experience what the locals term an “African massage.” Or maybe fly in.

Had a wonderful stay here - the hospitality of staff and guides (and game drives) were all exceptional. The food, drinks and lodges were great and the whole atmosphere was that of an authentic safari lodge.
