Hotels near Iwakura Park, Ibaraki

I have been visiting this spa hotel for many years. Since 2015. I have a tattoo and never had any problems, I am a foreigner. Last Saturday I went back to the bathtubs as usual and about 20 minutes later several staff showed up saying that I couldn't be there with a tattoo. The tattoo is very small, but I said yes, because it is the norm. But I also told them that there was a Japanese man with a huge tattoo in the same room, so they remained silent and pretended they didn't understand me, I pointed out that guy and they left ignoring me. Immediately another person from the staff arrived and told me to stay but to cover my tattoo, I told him no, I wanna return to home, i will leave fast the hotel, then he forced me to put a towel on, grabbed my arm and hurt me, and repeat to me stay in the bath. I recommend all foreigners with tattoos not to visit the hotel, because the rules are a bit strange, it is not allowed to bathe with tattoos, but Japanese people with tattoos are allowed, and then when you agree and want to leave the bath, they violently try to make you stay, and covering your body. I do not recommend a place like this, they are criminals and weird staff. The quality of the viking also went down a lot, it's not like before, the food is greasy and the fish smells rotten, the meat is bacon, not steak like 2 years ago.

I stayed with a baby plan (mom support plan) in May with a 5 month old infant. Supper is a room meal, breakfast is also a private room (with tatami mats) in the restaurant, and during the meal, cushions and bath towels were laid thick on the tatami mats to put the infant to sleep, so you can enjoy a delicious meal slowly. did. In addition, the disinfection set of baby bottles and rental of bath chairs are included in the plan, so it was saved without having to carry heavy luggage during the trip. It was a little hidden and difficult to understand, but it was good that the equipment was in place! The front desk smelled a little cigarette, but I don't think some people care about it, so I think it's okay! It was clean and comfortable!

This hotel is not bad and also looks new. The downside is they don’t have laundromat. However there is a l laundry shop nearby  Even though the front desk doesn’t really speak English, but they are really nice with the positive attitude unlike the Via Inn hotel near shinsaibashi I will come again next time.

Good location and service. Allow me early check in and that was fantastic. Breakfast was good. Very clean too. However, the towels are a bit rough and thin and pillows not so comfy. Overall, a pleasant stay for me
