I love pam at the front desk. I have stayed here so many times and my mom and dad di as well when they come into town!
The new owner in my opinion is not very nice. He is judgemental!
I wish there was another place to stay in independence!
Myself my mom and dad will not be staying here again.
The side door to the hotel you do not have to use you key card ( unsafe) the grounds have beer bottles that seem to never get cleaned up.

The front desk staff are so friendly and helpful! We felt so welcomed and cared for. The room was spotless, and the king bed was the most comfortable of the last 4 places weve stayed on this roadtrip. Breakfast was nice, if basic...bagels, muffins, cereal, ceral bars and yoghurt, with lots of coffee and juice. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and higjly recommend it!!!

Great stay. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Quiet and comfortable. The only thing lacking is breakfast- but they do have bagels, muffins, yogurt, cereal, and OJ if that works for you. It was a nice place with a great rate so I wouldn’t let the level of breakfast stop me from staying there though!

Was traveling on the Blueridge Parkway. Hotel was fine. Thin walled so I could hear people and their heavy foot steps. Cute small town.

Everything was good but the pillows suck! you might want to bring your own, unless you can use a rock for a pillow and still sleep!

Very nice stay! The hotel has recently been renovated so everything is in great condition. No carpeting in the rooms which I think is great. Everything was very clean. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
Two negatives include no elevator in case you have problems with stairs and no hot food fir breakfast other than coffee. That is actually fine for me but does not suit my husband.

Waited for soneobe to cone to desk for 10 minutes but she was very nice. Check in quick after that. Served our purpose as half way mark on our trip.
