Interlaken Linda Inn Lodge

This is a VERY basic hostel style lodging and a bit run down. We got a family room, and the pros are it was a large room with plenty of beds and the wifi was decent. Cons are there were almost no outlets, the toilet seat was loose and crooked, there was nowhere to set things in the bathroom, the hair dryer couldn’t be plugged in and it smelled a bit odd. Stairs are quite steep. Check-in process isn’t great and staff wasn’t particularly helpful.

Decent accommodations for reasonable price. No elevator. No early check in. Staff did not respond to emails. Stayed in room 101. Two double beds that can be pushed together into 1. My husband requires sleep apnea machine and wall outlet near bed accommodated that. Shared bathroom and shower were clean, however, after 10am the shower does wet the floor in the washroom quite a bit. Washroom/shower very clean upon our return at 4pm. Check in done by friendly staff who are located at hotel toscana. Luggage storage can be provided at hotel toscana. Kitchen and fridge available. Nice patio. If you get room 101 the patio is right outside the room window and in the morning can be loud but also provides quick access to the room if enjoying the patio. Close to grocery store. Walking distance from both train stations. Overall a good experience for a nice price.

If your need is to be centraly located with a shabby room, uncomforable bed, shared cooking fascilities and a good shower, then this is the place for you. You will need to add another CFH 105 Plus tourist tax per week to park your car (which they do not advise before booking). We were kept awake by other guests clomping around on the floor above and through the thin walls. The reception staff who are at a different hotel were reasonably helpful and responded to requests but its definitely not a place I would ever return too. I regret not shopping around more.
