Lake Lodge Hostel

Towel not enough, hassle to put off the bedsheet

The hotel is in a nice walkable area. The view from the room is beautiful. Overall it is clean. But the floor and wall don’t have good noise isolation so it is quite noisy when people walking on the upper floor.

We stayed at the lake lodge Annex, were we had our own bathroom and kitchen. The location is just perfect. When we arrived the fridge was not working so we told the young lady who was at the reception and she immediately fixed the problem, by getting us a new fridge the day after. She offered us to keep our stuff in the hostel fridge which was very kind of her. The staff were all so nice and everything was clean and tidy. We also went kayaking , since the lodge offers all kinds of activities and excursions. They also have parking space next to the lodge which is great and they also offered some coupons to go by bus free to Interlaken which we did not use since we had our own car. We highly recommend this place.. It is very child friendly and pet friendly and the hospitality is 10 out of 10. We just fell in love with Iseltwald and lake lodge and would love to be back xxxx

We booked a room for our family of 4. It’s a hostel so it’s not luxurious but the location is beautiful on the lake. The staff was kind and helpful but there was a large group that was there to party and they made so much noise that it was unbearable to sleep. They kept us up until 3:00 am when they all passed out and there was no management around to stop them. The floors are very creaky so if anyone walks in the hallway or rooms above you, you are sure to be woken up. We ended up leaving 2 nights early because we couldn’t sleep with the other group that was there. We found a nice hotel nearby with a private room for almost the same price.

Everything was kept clean during our stay. We checked in around dinner and were told that no towels were available for us until late afternoon the next day. It would have been nice to be able to take a shower! We used the dining area and there were plenty of the utensils and plates except for spoons! Not a one was there!

The rooms are small and there is noise from neighbouring rooms .

So beautiful and peaceful! But close enough to a large town

This place is awesome in an awesome place. Interlakenhoheweg is like the centre of the universe for interesting stuff to do with your family on holiday. There are several lido’s i. The area, paddle boarding, swimming in the lake, railways, cable cars, amazing viewpoints, waterfalls and loads more…. Lake Lodge is a great leaping off point for all these activities. There is a joint kitchen area but no cooking facilities except a microwave and bbq’s (free wood) in the garden. It’s good value, comfortable and safe. Lots of families as well as the normal backpacking crew. Just over the road from the lake with a lovely bar on the waterfront.

We went there as a family and stayed for 3 nights at this lodge. It was pretty neat and clean. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean too. The front sitting couches/benches in front of the lodge were amazing. A very close walk to the lake and bus station 103. Reception desks were very helpful too. Thank you.
