Meros Hotel

Very friendly staff, very clean, we had a very nice room. The air conditioning didn't work but we didn't report it, it wasn't important at that time of year anyway! The fireplace and whirlpool were the highlights of our room! The traffic in the morning was really loud even with the windows closed, the honking and all the sirens in the morning were annoying despite the fact that we were on the 3rd floor. We booked for 10 days and would do it again. Unfortunately the sights were quite a long way away, apart from the Mall of Istanbul which was about 10km away, everything else was 20km away... However, you can eat very well and cheaply in the town and go shopping - I would almost say better than anywhere else because there is so little tourism there. It's about a 3-minute walk to a large mall. There are supermarkets, restaurants, snack bars, cafes and ice cream parlors every 3 meters, so there's something for everyone. There's even a gym and a pharmacy... I personally recommend the Lux Cafe in particular, the breakfast there is top value for money and the owner even speaks German! The only drawback is that it would be great if you could wash your clothes in the hotel, but if necessary there is an overpriced laundry service in the Armoni Mall.
