"The location is excellent, right next to Kingdom Centre and Kingdom Mall, and close to the subway station (though I never used it). The building is very prominent; you can basically use it as a landmark to find your way around the bustling downtown area. The front desk is odd, slanted, and quite small. It might be a business hotel, as there were many Caucasians discussing work in the lobby, and plenty of sofa areas for meetings. When I arrived, I requested a high-floor room, but they wouldn't switch it, claiming I arrived too late. The next day, I tried again, and they said they were fully booked. There was a noticeable difference in their attitude towards Chinese guests. The hospital across the street seems abandoned and desolate, and there's a building under construction next door, so the noise was significant. The decor is quite clean and simple. Breakfast was average—nothing special but not terrible either. The cleanliness was decent, though it's the usual standing in the bathtub to shower, haha. I really don't understand this about hotels in the Middle East."
