Yundu Shaxi Courtyard

Beautiful hotel in Shaxi. Tea on arrival was a great touch, and great breakfast where they accommodated for my sister being vegan. Staff were kind and attentive throughout, contacting us via WeChat throughout. A haven in the midst of a beautiful old town.

We had a great stay in this beautiful small hotel. Breakfast in the patio under the morning sun is the best way to start the day. Shaxi itself is a hidden gem, not to be missed if traveling in Yunnan.

Charming guesthouse set in an old house with a beautiful courtyard. You will find that most guesthouses in Shaxi are designed in this style as the old buildings have been tastefully restored. However, the service and upkeep at Yundu is excellent! The house is conveniently located just a short walk to the main square and the alleys nearby are full of local shops and restaurants. Despite the language barrier on our side, the staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We really enjoyed having breakfast and reading near the koi pond in the courtyard; the laid back atmosphere is what Shaxi is all about. We highly recommend choosing the Chinese breakfast, absolutely delicious! We will definitely choose Yundu again if we are lucky enough to return to Shaxi!

A beautiful hotel with amazing courtyard, a small lake with fishes, sitting and breakfast possibility around it. The place is so calm and beautiful, that you don't want to leave this little oasis. The rooms are comfortable, furnished with local furnitures which fits perfectly. To the city centre is 3-5 minutes walking distance along little shops. we loved the courtyard and Shahi as small town, very relaxing.
