Contacted the hotel staff when we arrived and he came to the entrance to take us to the hotel. He also helped us carry our luggage. We need to purchase tickets to Xitang at the entrance.The hotel is quiet and seem to be quite empty on a weekday. Room comes with a balcony which overlook the river view. Good photo spot too. Room furnishing is a little dated but still good for 1 night stay.
Location is an easy walk to eating places, bar and shops. It is peaceful during the night and sleep quality is good.

I came to Xitang with my little sister. After a friend introduced that this homestay was very good in all aspects, we found the stay this time. We were very satisfied. We lived in a duplex with a loft. The hall below and the room above. I especially like the scenery door that is opened. Birds and flowers are fragrant. The landlady is very welcoming, the room is very spacious, and the extra bonus is the towel for bathing once. It's very close to Xitang and easy to get in and out! The owner is a friendly man who loves cats... and has three lazy, fat cats who sleep most of the time. He even gave us chilled bottles of Perrier French mineral water upon our arrival! The courtyard has two Loquat trees which provided many delicious fruits.
Our room was upstairs in this renovated old Qing-Dynasty house. We had a small private balcony. The bed was very comfortable, with great bolster pillows for watching movies on the huge screen. There was a refrigerator in the room. The bathroom was huge and even included a Japanese toilet with bidet functions. Soft towels. Good toiletries.
The included breakfasts, served in the courtyard, were wonderful. Fried bread, two-kinds of dumplings, soy milk, boiled eggs. Delicious coffee. Watermelon slices.
Xitang is a beautiful, if a bit over-commercialized ”ancient” town. We enjoyed our visit, and this lovely guest-house. The guesthouse is a bit hard to locate. It is in the Eastern part of the old town, near the bar street. For those who enjoy Hanfu, there are MANY shops nearby where you can rent the costumes.

Environment:
The hotel courtyard is so beautiful, with trees, water systems, and ancient pavilions. It has both Chinese classical beauty and the simplicity and fashion of modern architecture.
The long corridor composed of bamboo screens is extremely beautiful, with flickering light, and the light changes at night, which is also beautiful for taking photos.
Various artworks are scattered throughout the hotel, including in the room and above the corridor. The artworks come from artists from all over the world, and they are integrated very well, and the integration with the building itself is also very good. There are also many old photos of Xitang and photos of the hotel construction process in the corridor of the room, which adds a lot of warm humanistic atmosphere and locality.
Facilities:
The supplies are extremely good. Including pure cotton era washable facial tissues, various waters from Evian to 5001 to Nongfu Spring** infants and young children, and Liangrang’s own snacks, fruits, tea, roses, etc. The bedding has a satin feel, not ordinary cotton products.
I especially like the carpet in the corridor, which is similar to traditional Chinese fabrics, smooth and elegant.
