Bad service, no standard on cleaning.
I have stayed in different Onyado Nono hotels (Matsumot, Matsue, Sendai and Kanazawa) and many other Dormy Inn hotels. This is the second worst hotel among all the Dormy Inn hotels. The worst is Jozankei Yurakusoan that I also commented about their employees’ bad attitude in Oct 2025. I thought it’s only an isolated case so I gave the group another try. As a fan of Dormy Inn, I feel so disappointed to witness the group’s declining standards.
When I arrived the hotel early, the staff said the room was not ready so I needed to store my luggage. It’s totally fine so I dropped my basic info for storage. While I was writing the info, the staff told me that she would handle the luggage. However, when she lifted my luggage then suddenly said it’s too heavy and asked my to lifted it for her! I was shocked and I believed that I might overheard. But it’s not, she requested me to move the luggage for her. It’s talking about lifting a 16kg luggage 5cm to the tatami area. We are the same gender fyi. Instead of asking the help from her colleagues or simply using the ramp right next to the standing area to move the luggage, but requesting a guest to lift a luggage for an employee who committed that she would handle that. It immediately gave me a bad impression about this hotel.
I stayed there for 4 nights, only 1 housekeeper was doing his/her job. He/she cleaned up my room, tidy up the amenities and put the kimono and towels into the baskets as they were originally placed. I appreciate to the housekeeper who cleaned my room (I was staying in 12th floor) on 28/1/2026. It should be a standard thing. However, the other housekeepers who cleaned my room on 29&30/1/2026 were bad. They just simply made up my bed only. Put the towels on the bed (not putting into the baskets as the first housekeeper did), not even cleaning my room. A rubbish that was too large that couldn’t fit in into the bin, so it was put next to the water basin. When I was back, the trash was still there. Besides, the bathroom was definitely not being cleaned. Hair and dusk were there. The bin in the bathroom was not placed properly in their original place, they just threw the trash and that is. I didn’t expect a cleaning service can be like this. Uploaded photos that I was taken right after I have entered the room, not moving any items.
The location is like 17-mins walk from Kanazawa location. If you want to stay near the station then it’s not convenient. But if you wanna stay near the fish market, then the hotel is just 3-mins walking distance.
All I can say is that only the facilities I’m satisfied.
