The Amangiri offers an experience that’s incomparable. The location and the facilities are phenomenal. Everything from the design of the place to the surrounding environment create a place that immerse you in an isolated and enchanting setting. The only thing that dampened this feeling was the presence of children. A part of the resort at least should be for adults only. Despite the uniqueness of the place there’s a few flaws that should be addressed to make it better. The food is honest but the wine selection is seriously lacking. It’s inexplicable that an establishment of this caliber doesn’t have a resident sommelier. A qualified barista could also improve the morning experience. The service also feels a bit “green”. All the staff is very polite and helpful especially at the front desk and hospitality however the service crew doesn’t quite have the level expected for an establishment of this level. When we asked for afternoon tea the staff was mystified by the concept although it was something we had requested beforehand. Notwithstanding these issues, the stay was overall a unique immersive experience that’s worthy of the trip to this remote place.
GGuest UserWould stay here again. Got the executive suite. So much room. If there were people next to us you couldn't hear anything. No stains anywhere. Nice shower with hot water and plenty of pressure. Nice big desk. Two tv's so could watch different shows. Fast internet. Comfortable beds. Plenty of plugs for electronics. Bathroom had plugs on both sides of counter for shared bathroom. Good breakfast and good coffee. Direct TV and HBO.
The ranch in itself is beautiful. Our lodge had the bison view although the bison never came by (they did show up near the restaurant) it was still beautiful especially at sunset. We stayed in lodge 146. The cabin had a fully stocked kitchen with a standard fridge, an oven, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. We also had a washer and dyer (fyi bring your own detergent cause the one offered is a little cheap). The lodge had 2 big bedrooms and a loft with 6 beds. The beds were ok. I brought my blanket and I am glad I did because it got cold at night. The tvs didn’t have a working Netflix but we borrowed some dvds from the front desk. The dvd player in the bedroom didn’t work but it wasn’t a big deal. We did the horseback ride with Kyle and he was very kind and pleasant. he made us feel comfortable with the horses. All the staff was very nice and friendly. the bonfire outside the office was also pretty cool especially with Mr Lokota singing and playing his drum. I would come back again.
GGuest UserSince we had stayed here before, we knew what to ask for: a room with a king-size bed on the third floor. However, we were told that the hotel was sold out and we were given a room on the second floor with two double beds overlooking the parking lot. We thought that was strange, since the parking lot wasn't close to full, but the answer appeared at 10:00 p.m.: three buses full of high school kids from California. They were bouncing off the walls until midnight. When I tried to call the front desk to see if they could calm down, I learned that the phone wasn't working. I reported the problem to the desk when I walked down, but the phone was never fixed. The next morning, the breakfast room looked like a tornado had blown through. (They stayed two nights.) The hotel is constructed such that lower floor rooms can hear ever footfall and other noise in the room above--ugh. We stayed three nights and had housekeeping once, although key items were not replenished. My wife had to make two trips to the front desk before she could find someone to get the necessary items (recall no working phone). Sleep was not in the cards, as the mattress turned out to be rather uncomfortable.
GGuest UserVery pleasant hotel. The decoration is very new and clean. The room is very convenient. The surrounding supermarket is very convenient. There is also a police station at the entrance. It is very safe and has a good breakfast.
GGuest UserTwo hours drive from the Grand Canyon north rim, the hotel is very renovated. There is a ice19 of ice1916 in the town. Search kanab drug can be found. In the evening, when I was waiting for the traffic lights in the town, I saw a deer crossing the road at the crossroads. We have taken the easiest path in the Grand Canyon. The scenery is very beautiful. Be sure to tighten the children.
GGuest UserWe were a bit nervous due to the price, but we shouldn't have been. Fun Kitchy place. It's older, but very clean. Bed was comfortable and we slept well. Room was not big, but we had plenty of room for our gear. Fridge in room, but no microwave. There is one in the entryway that we utilized. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, cocoa instant cappuccino, water, was available 24/7. There is a C-store very close too. Ice maker was broken, but staff kindly gave us a bag. They couldn't have been more friendly and kind. It was a fantastic location, not far from Page. Couldn't have asked for more for the $. Hoping to plan another trip here soon. Hope we can book a room here then.
HHUIA motel on the town of Kanab, far from Monument Valley, is also a hotel that can be easily booked on an agency website, not bad. WIFI don't think about it. When you check in, the hotel staff will tell you that because it is a wireless access Internet, the signal is almost useless. The room is quite big and the facilities are good. As always, the American motel looks like. The restaurant across the road is very cheap and tastes good. There are also Madon Dang nearby. There are also several fighting battles.
GGuest UserI was looking for an inexpensive place to sleep and shower while on a three day hiking and park visiting journey. I chose the Travelodge not knowing what to expect when I got there. I was very pleasantly surprised to find a very comfortable bed, clean accommodations and a small but nice bathroom. Sometimes you get what you pay for but I feel I received more than I paid for this time.
Great little motel. Spent 3 nights here, was pretty quite, people at front desk very nice and helpful. It is a little weird to have toilet and shower in one room, and vanity in another, but it worked. Coffee in the lobby in the morning, no breakfast, but I prefer to go to one of the local restaurants anyway. Shower was amazing, I finally figured out the TV on my last night LOL technology isn't my strong point.
