The hotel is not bad. It is near the bus station located at the far east of town. So it is a bit of a trek to downtown area (about 1.3 km). The rooms are nice and spacious although I would never stay there again. We were booked in building 2 which is a short walk from the main hotel and you pass in the middle of other businesses which can be a little confusing. I suggest you encourage someone from the front desk to accompany guest to the building. The building was pointed out to us and we had to figure our the door key system ourselves. On our 2nd day there we put the 'clean room' sign on the door and NOTHING happened. Our room was not cleaned even though we could see the cleaners on our floor as left. Our main reason for staying was based on the review about breakfast. This time around it was terrible. Beyond worse and I have stayed at numerous Chinese hotels before. They used powdered milk, powdered soy milk, powdered instant coffee etc. At least have the decency to not do it RIGHT in from of our line of sight. There was bread/toast (no butter and no jam). There were cakes same variant but they seemed rationed. Would I recommend it to others--maybe just don't pay for the breakfast and be prepared to clean your own room??? The upside, there's a ******* restaurant that serves the most delicious food. And the service is fast and the family is friendly. Highly recommended.

The last stop of my trip to Western Sichuan came to Kangding. I personally care about the old and new hotels. I chose a hotel that was renovated in 2024.
