Hotel Sonnblick

Had a great weeks stay here at the end of the main ski season. The offering of the Sonnblick is good, it's good value for money and the staff are excellent. FAN-9451

A fabulous hotel, relatively small but well formed. The staff were exceptionally polite, friendly and helpful. Rooms and the hotel decor were smart, stylish and traditional. Our room was perfect for families as it essentially had 2 separate sleeping areas and was a good size. The food was delicious with lots of choices for adults and children. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We shall be back. We originally stayed here in 2007. It was a very nice hotel then. The recent updates are very nice. Kaprun is now a very high standard holiday destination and the Sonnblick is a great option.

I stayed here in half-term for a week on a ski trip with my 2 young boys. The best thing about the hotel is the staff, they are all absolutely lovely - warm, welcoming, friendly and professional. There were a few minor issues when we arrived e.g. soap not in the room and they dealt with it immediately without any fuss. We arrived late after they stopped serving dinner and they prepared a huge plate of meats and cheeses for me and pastries and cakes for the kids which was lovely of them. The food was very good, there was a good range at breakfast - cakes, pastries, pancakes, cereals and eggs, bacon etc and dinner was lovely with a good choice of wines and main meals. The room was very nice, it had a nice modern and clean feel to it and the shower was really good. It was very comfortable and the kids loved the bunk beds. The hotel was very quiet and we had a nice balcony that overlooked the outdoor pool and mountains. I'd say the hotel is reasonable value for money, it felt a little bit pricey for a 4 star hotel (although I'd say it was a high standard 4 star) given the size of the room and the fact that the gym was off-site which was a minor negative, but it was half-term in a ski resort and the rates seemed good compared to other hotels I looked at. The sauna, jacuzzi and heated pool were nice, it felt very luxurious swimming in the heated pool after a day of skiing. The location of the hotel is very good, very close to the bottom of the ski lift. The car park is convenient and the hotel has a boot room and ski storage. We really enjoyed our stay her, the staff made the kids feel very welcome, there's a games room in the basement and there were lots of other kids staying in the hotel and it just feel like a very cosy lovely family hotel that would also suit couples as it was quiet as well despite there being kids around. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We have just returned from a great week at Hotel Sonnblick. Our family room was super clean and really spacious with the most comfortable beds. The breakfast selection each morning was plenty and we enjoyed it very much and all our dinners (we had HB) were fantastic. Another excellent extra is the soup and cake for tea time which was very much appreciated after a day on the slopes. The pool is a great addition along with the wellness area. All staff were super friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable. The skibus (line K) leaves further down the road or we took the slightly longer walk to route 660 to take the bus to the Kitzsteinhornbahn. On some days we just took the local gondola up which can be reached in 5 minutes

The hotel and its facilities were really good. we enjoyed the food almost every night. spa and pool were really good that is where the enjoyment ended. The apartment accommodation that was allocated to us was very old and not even at pension standard. Although the website does show beautiful modern apartments this was not the accommodations we received. When I brought the issue up with the owner he looked at me any shrugged his shoulders! most unsatisfactory customer service

My wife, her family and I spent 5 days here celebrating her 30th birthday. The hotel Sonnblick was absolutely amazing and couldn’t do enough to support us and make the trip the most special it could be. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone! The restaurant is fantastic as is the bar, spa and swimming pool facilities. It’s incredibly close to the slopes and all of the local restaurants and bars and the facilities are just absolutely wonderful.

We drive at night and arrived at 7 am. We were allowed to have a nice breakfast and get dressed in the basement and leave our belongings secured. Very nice and very beautiful hotel. Nice wellness and the breakfast is really great. We had a deluxe double room with friends (2 big bedrooms, separate toilet and a shower. Perfect room with friends

We are a family of five, we stayed in the Sonnblick apartments and found it super spacious and clean with lovely views and just a stones throw from the main hotel where we used the pool, hot tub, saunas and relaxation areas. We dinner at the hotel for breakfast each morning and had our dinner on occasion throughout our stay. Everything from the apartment, the facilities, the food, and all the staff members at Sonnblick where fantastic and we will definitely be repeat guests.

We were a large group of multiple familles traveling together with children during the holidays. The team at the hotel was extremely capable and friendly. They worked hard to accommodate our group both in terms of meals and helping make our arrival and departure run smoothly. The Christmas package was an enjoyable add-on. The hotel itself exceeded expectations. Wonderful trip.
