Karijini Eco Retreat

Generally good hotel probably the only hotel in the national park that is luxury standard so no choice

Karijini is such a unique experience. The gorges are stunning and the atmosphere is relaxing. We had three nights at the Eco Resort. The staff are very friendly and can be helpful, most of the time. We found that when in the dining area, we would be seated efficiently but hence the staff seems to ‘forget that we were there’. It was ‘Pilbara’ pricing so everything was expensive. I found the menu limited and not always to my taste.

It is expensive but to be here is a great lifetime plus. Such an amazing area and the eco resort makes it achievable. Luxury Eco rent is very comfortable and clean. Own , all be it, external, ensuite barhroom. Large, vert comfortable bed and excellent restaurant. ( included continental breakfast choice needs improving). Location for discovering the Karigini and Pilbara is excellent and the access road now sealed. You wonr fet Wifi or Phone signal but that is the charm.

The most incredible weekend at the eco retreat. The staff were so amazing and helpful. Could not have had a better weekend. Ps.. food at the restaurant is fantastic! Make sure you make a booking at the restaurant if you’re staying. The staff were super accommodating to different dietary requirements, impeccable service.

We stayed 5 nights at the Karijini Eco Retreat in a Deluxe Eco King Tent. Our tent was well appointed and we loved the comfortable bed. An attached outside ensuite was a novel and pleasant experience. As with all remote locations people will need to be flexible and accommodating as there are some limitations on the amenities. Undertaking prior research before arriving on what is available and what isn't may save you some frustration. For example, due to power supply limitations no fridge or kettle is provided in the tent. We were fortunate to have a single burner hiking stove with a pot so we could boil up some water for a morning cuppa. An Esky was provided so we bought some ice and kept our milk in that. Just little things that make life a bit more comfortable. The continental breakfast was more than adequate and on a couple of mornings we upgraded to the full cooked breakfast for a small extra charge. It was huge! The evening meals were lovely, but I would have appreciated a few extra menu choices. Staff were excellent and I would thank Ange, Maud, Terri and Madlen in particular for making us welcome and providing brilliant service. Some roads in Karijini NP have recently been sealed so it is now very easy to visit most gorges. And, you just can't beat the night sky at Karijini. Absolutely amazing!

What an amazing beautiful national park, complimented with the accomodation and facilities at the Eco retreat, its a must go destination. There is a full range of accomodation from camping/caravans - glamping tents with share facilities & glamping with ensuites. We chose the ensuite tent and were extremely comfortable. The staff were very helpful. We ate in the restaurant 1 night and got takeaway delicious burgers for the next 2 nights and ate on our deck. I suggest drive down to get your burgers if taking back to your tent as the dingos will smell how delicious they are. Gotta luv nature until nature wants your burger

Amazing place! Stayed in an Ecotent. Was very comfortable. Roomier than I expected! Would definitely recommend! The overall place was very clean, great facilities and great food. Not too long of a walk to the shower/toilets. Wish we would have had a long stay so we could see more! Will definitely come back!

We spent a wonderful night at the Karijini Eco Retreat and we immediately loved it. The site is in walking distance from the Joffre Gorge Lookout and a few kilometres from the main gorges in the western part of the park. We used the powered site and we enjoyed dinner at the premises (Karijini beef burger was excellent). The site is also quite dark if you are a fan of astrophotography :-)

We absolutely loved the place. The uninterrupted view of the park from the tent is truly special, especially for sunrise. The tent is spacious with robust fly nets keeping things out but not distorting view. Short walk to beautiful Joffre gorge. Delicious dinner at the restaurant too. Particularly liked the kangaroo loin entree.
