The service was poor and the hotel lacked empathy. We were still eating in the restaurant, and even though we hadn't finished our coffee, they rudely told us to leave because our time was up. It was incredibly frustrating. We had a child with us, and we were charged an additional ¥38,720 for them. On top of that, if we didn't check out exactly at 11 AM, there was an extra charge of ¥3,300 per hour. In short, it felt like they were trying to deter guests. This hotel is extremely unfriendly with terrible service.

The open-air bath was absolutely wonderful. I'd love to go back again, especially in autumn when the fall foliage must be beautiful. Although our room didn't have a bathtub, it was well-equipped with amenities, so we didn't miss a thing. The staff were all incredibly kind and provided excellent service.

My husband and I came to the hotel for one night. The location is very scenic, close to the bus terminal where we arrived. We were greeted very warmly. There were no communication issues — the young women who helped us check in spoke English well and had a great sense of humor. They showed us everything and took us to our rooms. I especially want to mention that while we were waiting to check in, a wonderful woman in a kimono brought us hot towels, bowls of tea, and small sweets. After our journey, it was a very pleasant touch. Our room was fantastic. We chose it for the stunning view of the mountains. We slept soundly in the beds. The public baths were wonderfully relaxing — this was our first experience with onsens. I also booked a massage. A young woman came to my room, and the massage was done with clothes on — it was the best decision of that evening. I didn't want it to end. For dinner, there was a whole ceremony. There was an enormous amount of food. We couldn't finish it all. Some things were delicious, others were new to us and a bit unfamiliar. But it all added to our experience and enriched us. Thank you for the hospitality. A wonderful place!

Really liked it! The environment is quiet and peaceful, with a strong Japanese flair. You can even enjoy a hot spring bath right in your room, and the dinner was delicious too!

Like the quaint yet very elaborate ryokan style of living. The onsen may not be as big and fancy as in noboribetsu but it is still comfortable. I subscribed to their dinner and breakfast which was pretty good. I definitely live the wooden bathtub in my room. They have shuttle services to and from Arima Onsen region. The only complain I have is the weak wifi.

This hotel's operations and management fall short of professional standards. There was noticeable mold and grime in the bathroom, and the entire room constantly reeked of an old drain system. Even with continuous ventilation day and night, the situation didn't improve. We reported the issues to the hotel, but unfortunately, they weren't effectively addressed. On a positive note, the restaurant staff were friendly, and the dinner quality was satisfactory. However, considering the overall accommodation conditions, we would not consider staying here again.

An old hotel with very few hot spring pools, you can count them on one hand. The overall comfort level is just average. However, the service is impeccable; all the staff are friendly, helpful, and readily assist with any request.
