Okay, we stayed for 9 nights, this is the 5th time in Thailand and second time on Koh Tao, and we loved this place because: 1. The staff were amazing, they helped us with taxi boat for snorkelling (boat nr 35, a very kind guy called Lai), advice on where to go on the island, everything we asked for or problems that we had, they solved it very quick and always with a smile. They cleaned every second day which was enough, if you try to keep the sand off your feet. It is a small tub outside the veranda to wash the sand off. Nice cleaning staff. 2. The premises, pool area, bungalow (we stayed in beach front bungalow OB4). Everything was clean and although noisy in the nights when people went to the bars, it was worth it with the view we had from the bungalow veranda where we watched the sunset and beach/boat people all day long. The room had a nice Air con and a little fridge, the bed was a little hard as everywhere in Thailand. The pool with a ”swim in” bar, also very nice and clean. 3. The restaurant with a barbecue each night to die for, so delicious and very nice breakfast and pizza too. Quick response from the staff, they never seemed to rest.

I don’t like to rough it but when you’re in a location like this….i really couldn’t care. Cabins are a bit run down and you’re paying over the odds to stay here but it was worth it. We had the most memorable couple of days here. Staff were super friendly and very helpful.

tranquil and lovely host and you must try home made jam not far from local beach and local convenience stores and a short strolls to local eateries. need a car to go to city or taxi is not that expensive but local drivers sometimes crazy as i’ve been told

It was a wonderful stay with friendly people. The cabin we stayed in was very nice and they arranged transportation from the hotel back to the pier. It is within walking distance of all kinds of nice shops and restaurants and also has a restaurant on the beach.

Sairee Cottage Resort is the perfect complement to Sairee Cottage Diving and I highly recommend it. I stayed in one of the green bungalows, a triple. The bungalow was so nice. The bed was soft, it has at least one if not two pillow tops, making it as comfy as my mattress at home. Soft pillows that were not old. There are blackout curtains in the room, allowing for great sleep. The refrigerator, hot water kettle, and safe deposit box both functioned as desired. The air conditioner is new and functions perfectly. The bathroom was fully remodeled and has an on-demand water heater, allowing for hot or lukewarm showers as you prefer. There was also a thigh-level spigot to allow freshwater rinses of gear and clothes used in salt water. The room cleaning staff left the place immaculate, which was so nice to come back to after a long day in the water. The front desk staff were very courteous and helpful. The bungalow porch was lovely to hang out on. The only minor feedback is that the window screens don’t fit perfectly so if you want the windows open you will get some bugs. A minor sidenote to an otherwise flawless performance. The location. Sairee Cottage is right in the thick of it in the bustling heart of Koh Tao tourism. Restaurants, bars, mini-marts, pharmacies, gift shops, laundry, you name it, all within a few minutes' stroll. My bungalow was set away from the Walking Street and the main road, so it was probably the quietest location on my property. Nonetheless, you could hear thumping techno music at night from nearby bars, which goes until midnight. Also because motorbikes are the primary form of transportation here, you could frequently hear them. Sairee Cottage allows motorbike access on the road through the middle of the resort, so it could be a bit loud. Overall despite the rustic charm, this is very much an urban experience. This may be fine if you came to Koh Tao to party or go out. For an introvert who doesn’t drink like myself, it got to be a bit much after a week or so. On the other hand, the location is also an asset – beautiful Sairee Beach is just a few meters away and you can be snorkeling or hopping on the dive boat just minutes from your room. Since most people won’t be making long stays here’s and realistically most people do come to party, I think the location is probably a plus for most people. You’d be hard pressed to do better for a diving resort on Koh Tao than Sairee Cottage. The staff are outstanding, the facilities top notch, and the location is ideal for most. They exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds and I’m grateful for the time I had there. It has my highest recommendation.

Can't recommend this place enough! Best location, right on Sairee beach and a stones throw from all the bars and restaurants, yet far enough away that you aren't kept up at night. We stayed in a bungalow with a fan and it was fantastic value for money. We were initially concerned about the lack of aircon but it wasn't a problem at all as the fan was cool enough. The onsite restaurant was also great, excellent food at very good prices. If you are looking to get your PADI dive qualification whilst in Koh Tao, this is the place to do it! The instructors are brilliant! Small groups, onsite pool for day one of training, pool bar and good vibes all round. Staff are super friendly, as are the dogs!

The hotel itself is very good and the rooms were clean. We had a double fan bungalow but I don’t recommend this because it was way to hot in there. A room with air conditioning would be perfect at this hotel, a bit more pricy but definitely worth it. The hotel is located by the sea and has beautiful sunsets. On the day, the beach is not very nice as it is low tide until like 17 or something. Rent a motorbike and it’s perfect. The hotel picks you up from the pier when you arrive with the ferry and drives you there when you are going away from the Island too. The deposition at the hotel was 2000 baht, passport or ID-card. I recommend this hotel if you are visiting Koh Tao and wants to have a hotel by the sea for a little amount of money.

The cottages are very comfortable, clean the cottage we had came with a fridge and AC. The staff are great and happy to help. There is a restraunt located on the property righron tje Beach, the food is very good the staff pleasant and friendly and very nice, special shout out to Moe a waiter there who was awesome. We arrived back at the hotel/ cottages from being out having a few drinks realizing the restraunt was closed, missed by 10 mins, Moe's was still there, without hesitation he drove my wife on his scooter to another place that sells pizza to pick up and drove her back AND refused a tip, pretty special guy! We stayed 2 weeks, highly recommend.

We visited this hotel in the summer months and booked a room without aircon - this was no good idea and we changed to a room with aricon after 2 nights. The staff was really helpful and provided us a new room right away. The location of the resort is great, right next to the beach, right next to a diving school and right next to some good restaurants. The rooms are simple but clean and nice. We would definitely come back and want to thank again the nice staff at the check in who always tried to help, I especially want to mention Khun Chaw, she was so nice. Additional info: If you book with the hotel directly, you will get a discount at the diving school (no guarantee on that as we couldn't use it as we didn't know but that's what they told us).

We stayed there for 4 nights and we had an absolutely amazing experience there. The location is very ideal, it's close to everything and next to the beach. The staff there were super friendly and helpful. A big plus is the restaurant at the hotel. the chefs were fantastic! Every dish they make is just amazing!! Will definitely stay there again!

The grounds are beautiful here! Feels like a tropical paradise. My cottage was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were responsive. I'll stay again! 2 pools, one had a swim-up bar and that was so fun

Let me first start with the positives...the resort is right on the beach...the restaurant has excellent views . The staff there is friendly. However, the resort is aged...the rooms are tiny. The pictures on the site are misleading. I asked to book a pink room..since i thought it looked the nicest...the room is tiny. The bedmattress springs are gone. The room is clean though. The rooms are however are all attached in a row so u can hear everything in the other room. I had booked from the 3rd to the 9th July ...on arrival i didn't like the room. They showed me a three bed room that was large ..it was very musty and had a smell. Also a more modern room on the first floor of the building... This was also tiny. I choose to stay in the first room. Since i didn't like the room...i checked if i could please check out earlier on the 6th...they were quite rude. For this price ( 1200 baht) there are other excellent choices on the island.

We have been coming here for several years, staying up to month. The resort has a good variety of accommodations, from poolside to beach to gardens. The staff at the hotel and their fantastic restaurant are absolutely wonderful. Best beach for all kinds of activities. Ask for Mr. Liee to take you on snorkel trips around the island. He has lived here for 30 years and really knows his stuff. A lovely man who will also make your rime here delightful.
