Mitsis Selection Blue Domes

An amazing location, within a beautiful setting. The facilities are plentiful, and the food offerings are spectacular. The bars offer unlimited drinks throughout the day, and Blue Domes has freshwater pools running throughout its core structure. The good offerings were expansive, and catered for all dietary needs. The only downside which I found was that the rooms were not sound insulated, and therefore as I was at the end of housing section the noice from the service road was slightly irritating. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend the location to family and friends.

This is really a great hotel with a luxurious feel and amazing views. It’s set on a slope/hill down towards the beach. Lots of stairs(but lift access aswell) Staff are very attentive and food quality is there, but not mind blowing. Brunch restaurant is a must, with very interactive friendly staff (Stamatia really made an effort). Evenings were cooler so be prepared. Overall hotel can’t be faulted, really worth every Penny.

This place is a little piece of heaven. A lot of attention to detail went into the design of the place and the facilities, food and people were amazing. We went for an all inclusive stay and it did everything we had expected and more. The variety of restaurants and food places open during the day was great. Especially grateful to: - the lady at the concierge desk who organised it so that me and my husband could use the open gym to workout in the morning. - Elizabeth the lady with the warmest welcome possible. Always happy to see you and said such kind words. It's people like this who make the stay amazing so I hope if you visit you get to meet them. - the lady at the vegan/ juice bar who would always give our daughter a fresh cup of strawberrys when she saw her - all the cleaning, bar, restaurant staff who went out of there way to make sure you have everything you need. We even had some freshly baked bread delivered to our room to celebrate Easter. I'm not sure if this is coincidence but the only thing they didn't have for breakfast was porridge - so I would ask the bar for some hot milk - then like magic the next day (and every day after there was porridge ready made and available) - the kids area is great and a special shout out to the ladies who work so hard to do so many fun and educational activities for the children. Our daughter was 18 months so we had to stay with her but we could still get involved in all of the fun and there were plenty of toys. I could go on but I hope I've made the point that they really do sweat the small stuff here and it didn't go unnoticed! A few heads up that might be good to know in advance: - a la carte restaurants need to be booked in advance - easiest way to do this is via the app - lunch is at 12.30 and dinner at 6:30pm - so if you have to factor in naps don't do what we did and show up in between :) - the hotel is around 35 mins from Kos town We hope you visit and have a lovely experience just like we did! Firstly, the overall experience and stay at Mitsis Blue Domes was incredible. It’s one of the most stunning resorts we have ever been too, always clean, and plenty of space around the resort to explore, relax and swim! Check in was okay, however, could have been better. The staff member didn’t really explain the hotel, or give us a map. He just passed us the keys and nothing else. Breakfast was varied with plenty of choice. Always something to eat and hot food. Service could be a bit quicker in the buffet restaurant however overall enjoyable experience. The breakfast buffet would defiantly benefit from another toaster also. The pool areas and resort grounds are incredible. You feel as if you’re living in a Greek dream. Plenty of sun beds and no issues with getting a bed, however, we went at the start of October. This could be different for other times if the year. More staff needed for front reception. Often had to queue to ask a question or for help. Desk is big enough for more people so not sure why there wasn’t more people to service it especially when it was busy. Booking a taxi was very long winded. We had to book through the concierge and then go back to reception to pay? And when there are queues this can be very frustrating when all we wanted was a cab. We ended up waiting 40 minutes for our cab to turn up. The beach was great with lovely blue seas. The food overall throughout the different places to eat in the hotel was amazing. We really enjoyed the choices we had each day to go and eat! Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this resort.

We came back from Mitsis Blue Domes last week (Travelled end of May/beginning of June) with our 8 month old baby. The hotel itself is beautiful. Amazing pools, views, the pool bar is a fantastic spot to sit. We loved the juice bar, crepe cafe, and American for lunch. All with delicious food! The main negatives of the hotel we found were - Steps everywhere! It is not pram friendly. Fine if you are together and can share carrying the pram, but after 10 days was frustrating to have to call my husband for help. - Queues everywhere - To get into breakfast, at the pool bar, beach bar, gyros bar, evening lobby bar. With 10-15+ people every time. - Staff exhausted/understaffed so not great/fast service in some areas of the hotel - Couldn’t get a single pool sunbed after 8am. The only option would be the beach, which is so hard with a pram! And the sunbeds were very crammed in. All in all we had a lovely holiday, but these negatives did cause frustration and for that reason we won’t be returning.

We travelled as a family of 4 including a 10 month old and had a superb time. Staff really made an effort, in particular we would like to thank Dmitri at the cooking station in the Mexican restaurant who was brilliant with our baby boy, Erwan in the Greek restaurant by the beach, Nicky at the spa, and the man called A (not sure full name) at the Brunch restaurant who spoke impeccable English! Food quality and variety we thought we excellent. Pools lovely. Beach great too - nice for swimming and watermelon brought around was a lovely touch. Room had everything and mini bar had a really good range of drinks replenished daily. There were some queues at the pool bar which were a bit disappointing at times but the bar at the garden pool bar seemed much quieter. Would highly recommend booking a holiday here.

Amazing restaurants, definitely recommend booking in advance. The Brunch a la carte restaurant was faultless, all the staff could not be more helpful and friendly and the food was perfect. Stamatia in particular was amazing. 100% recommended.

The hotel has a very nice and pleasant impression. With the exception of a few individuals, the staff were nice and professional. The rooms are cozy. We had a room with a private pool. Mini bar included in the price, refilled every day. The first three evenings it was very pleasant to lie down on the deckchair and rest when the child fell asleep. It was unpleasant to discover that cockroaches live under the wooden floor. I brought this fact to the attention of the reception, it was resolved by sending a lady to spray the floor. It had no effect. We spent the rest of the evenings with the sleeping baby in the room and did not go to the terrace to prevent cockroaches from entering the room. It's a shame that I paid 4,000 euros for a room and couldn't take full advantage of the outdoor comfort while the child was sleeping. I know the cockroach doesn't know it's a 5* hotel and shouldn't be there, but I would expect more effort to solve the problem. Sure, it's common in tropical countries, but for a central European, it's really annoying when a cockroach crawls on your glass. During the day the terrace was safe to relax. The drink delivery service to the private pools was really nice. We traveled with a 1.5 year old child. For children, a really nice children's playroom, playground and pool, but the playground was not available until the evening, so there are not many options to entertain a small child in the evening. With a stroller, you can choose many alternative routes and avoid stairs. Plenty of highchairs in restaurants. The food in the main restaurant was good, it's a shame that only about 20% of the dishes changed a day, otherwise it was basically the same. Sometimes a queue to the restaurant. Several à la carte restaurants can be visited. Need to book as soon as possible after arrival otherwise no table may be available. We visited the Italian and Asian restaurants and were satisfied with the food. The bars by the pools were nice, a great vitamin bar and the food in the American buffet was also good.
