We were a family of four two adults two children and eight year old and a three year old. First impression wasn't great we arrived at 02:00 to be greeted by a rude gentleman on reception which didn't seem to have great people skills no welcome drinks or food on arrival, we were given a room which was in the 9000 block the furthest away from the main area a good 10 minute walk to the main area or you can ring and get a buggy down. You get taken there in a buggy the two members of staff were really good take your luggage to the room for you which was nice. The room we had was a family suite very clean and tidy plenty of room for a family of four the beds aren't that comfy typical holiday beds as I class them, in the fridge was two bottles of water once you've drank them they don't seem to get restock coffee and tea facilities in the room which only got replenished once within a two week stay shower and bath absolutely fine. The food is typical all inclusive wasn't amazing but wasn't rubbish either, you have to book the Italian Greek Chinese restaurant on the hotel app in the Chinese restaurant the alcohol drinks aren't included soft drinks are free I'd say the Chinese was the best along with the Italian the greek restaurant was just like eating in the main restaurant. The pool areas clean and tidy plenty of day time entertainment on, the entertainment team are great don't prester you if you choose not to join in. The pool bars open at 10am for alcohol drinks typical all inclusive drinks again not rubbish but not great no malibu either or coconut rub if that's your drink of choice you aren't having it, they do a cocktail menu or non alcoholic cocktail menu there's also slushie machines. Back to the restaurants on a evening if you don't book the restaurant the other two choices are the themed restaurant which are pretty much the same as the lunch time menu with only a few changes same food day in day out but plenty of choices to choose from and not bad food to be fair. It seems like a lot of people choose this holiday to get married at so lots of big group parties. There's an on-site shop which the prices are absolutely ridiculous if you take a 15 minute walk into kos there's a supermarket which opens at 08:00 - 22:00 price's there are a lot cheaper. The staff in the hotel are happy enough and the grounds are immaculate. If you choose to use the sunbeds on the beach they come at an extra cost aswel. Make sure you go down to the beach to see the sunset it's amazing . We hired a four seater buggy from Steve's bikes which is on-site 120 euro for the day no deposit required and he tells you the best places to visit well worth doing. Plenty of things to do to keep the kids entertained on a whole we had a really good family holiday I would definitely recommend this hotel to a family. There's plenty of cats and chickens which walk around the grounds all seem friendly but just very random.

We were supposed to be doing an escorted tour to Turkey which was cancelled last minute. Booked this with my local Tui shop. Check-in was very prompt and we stayed in block 3 which was near reception and the main pool although the hotel complex was very large but had buggies for transporting people to more remote accommodations. The rooms were not small comfortable beds with good air conditioning. Shower was ok but awkwardly situated above the bath did the job. As for the decor, it was perfectly acceptable to me. Big thank you to housekeeping as rooms were spotlessly clean. Pool areas are good with plenty of loungers with a few pools to choose from. Water Park is good fun even with no kids and the cafe there is excellent. Food and beverage, I found the quality of food excellent, no issues with choice and quality. Nice breakfast choice, delicious salads at lunch and a few speciality restaurants, which you book on the app as often as you like. My favourite was the Italian and would have happily paid for my Pizza 🍕 and cheesecake. Chinese good and although Greek was buffet it was a lot more chilled than the main dining room. My only complaint perhaps guests could be prompted to use hand gel when entering dining areas as this was very lax. As there was always a member of staff at the entrance who could do this. Unfortunately, some guest's personal hygiene is not what it should be. The drinks were okay nothing special but managed to find something which I liked and stuck to that although not a big drinker it was not a problem. Plastic cups at poolside so I understand why glass is not given. No long queues for drinks and service very good except the piano bar which was a bit sporadic. The main bar by reception service was excellent, big thank you to Arnold who kept my glass replenished without ever asking, how's that for service? My wife enjoyed the shows although not my thing. Good gym which I use regularly with a nice indoor pool. The hotel and grounds are well maintained and the beach area is very chilled, have to pay a small fee of €2.50 for the lounger which ok with me, stops people from reserving loungers. Most staff were very good and seemed happy and were glad to help. A lot of cats around the hotel which are looked after. Not seen as a nuisance and very much part of the hotel which I thought was nice. You can tell a lot about people and an organization in how they treat animals and I thought this was good to see. Bus to Kos Town outside the hotel but can be very unpredictable, taxis not easy to come by. It's about a 45-minute walk and very flat to Kos Town which we did Very enjoyable stay and greatly exceeded my expectations for the price I paid. No issues with food and I have stayed in hotels more expensive than this and had a much worse experience. Rooms are comfortable and a very relaxing space. I had an enjoyable calming stay and would definitely stay again.

We stayed here in May as a family of four (2 adults 2 teenagers) Unfortunately like many others have stated the food was a massive let down and for the first time ever on an all inclusive we went into Kos and paid for a nice evening meal as we couldn’t face the food. We tried all the different food areas and it was all the same and felt like it had been cooked two days before and chucked under a warm lamp. The desserts are basically all pots of cream with different food colouring in them. The food at the water park was even more insulting for the money we paid for this holiday. We also found that you could have cheap drinks and coffee included but if you wanted a nice coffee or real coke then you pay extra, which again I was surprised about in a five star resort that certainly wasn’t cheap to book. On the plus side we found the hotel clean and staff were all very friendly. (Take earplugs though if you are a light sleeper) The pool area was nice and we never had trouble getting a sunbed. We didn’t go to the beach on the resort as it was quite windy when we were there and we were a bit put off by paying a further 10 euros per day for us to have sunbeds I would recommend hiring a bike just across the road from the resort. We hired these everyday and ventured into Kos town and Lambi beach which was lovely, empty and great if you enjoy snorkelling. The bikes made our holiday . Overall the resort was nice, but just totally spoilt by the awful food.

I visited blue lagoon for a week and I just could not complain about anything. Food was as I expected it to be coming to an all inclusive resort. Crepe stand in the middle of the main pool is brilliant. Every single day there were sports/activities for all ages which were ran by the entertainment team. Myself and my family were always involved and could not fault the team one bit as they do an amazing job. They work long shifts running the clubs/activities and still put on an incredible show at the end of each day (excluding Wednesday as it’s their only day off). All round an amazing trip which the family really enjoyed. Pools were great, perfect location to travel to the beach which is 2/3 minutes away and good location to run 🏃‍♂️. Would’ve said 4* but the entertainment team really pushed it over the line for me as they did an amazing job with everybody on the resort so thank you 🙌🏽.

The resort is enormous and has something for everyone. Food is great in main dining areas but to be honest the speciality restaurants were disappointing. Would be better to charge a small fee and up the quality like cruise ships do. However this did not take away from the holiday. The rooms were very nice in block 1 and looking out on the pool area. Cleaned spotlessly every day and fresh towels. No problem getting a lounger at any time as there are loads of them and spent a couple of days at the beach area which was lovely. Had no problem finding something nice to eat for every meal and although was a bit repetitive there was lots of choice. The salads were excellent as was the freshly grilled meat and fish. Best of all were the staff who were so friendly and helpful and many an hour was spent in Ilios lounge area getting looked after by Konstantina and the bar staff. If ever there was a great advertisement for a resort it was Konstantinas positive bubbly personality and her cry of ‘YAMAS’ with every drink delivered. I would suggest doing up the crazy golf as the plastic bases were not really a crazy golf base. I would definitely recommend a holiday here as it is a beautiful place in a beautiful island of lovely friendly people

We are a family of 4... 2 children aged 7 and 8. Lets cut to the chase > Is this a nice place to visit, absolutely. Is it 5 stars nope, but it's 4 and that's OK. Pros - the main pool is amazing, we are we somewhat well travelled and this beats most I've ever been in. The food is actually good, it is varied and to a good standard (don't expect Michelin star but do expect to be well fed), the ala carte is a great option, we did the Italian and it was great. The waterpark, though small has plenty for the kids and will do you for a couple of hours. Lastly the entertainment is to a good standard. Having said that, it's 9 eur for a cab to kos town. The cons -> The theatre where the night time shows are has cheap plastic seats arranged like an actual theatre, so no tables and the family vibe is lost. OK there are a few flimsy plastic tables kicking around but it gives off a very cheap vibe and does detract from the main show ( that said I highly recommend the piano bar which was much better) , the supermarket on site is well stocked but very very overpriced so be warned. The non entertainment staff, there are 1 or 2 that are great, he crepe guy works tirelessly and the main bar guy in the buffet is a superstar however the rest really seem to have a mood most of the day. Lastly, and this is in no ways the hotels fault but there is a lot of French that stay here and frankly they all wall about with a face like a smacked @#£% and are incredibly rude.... Overall we enjoyed ourselves, I would recommend the pirate ship cruise from kos town all day for 4 of us 70 eur and it was a blast !!!

Stayed at BLR booked via Tui early May but unfortunately I don’t rate it and was disappointed with the hotel. The hotel most likely gets its 4 stars from the amount of facilities it offers but the standard of them facilities are more like 3 stars. One of the reasons I choose this hotel was because it had 6 restaurants but all the buffet restaurants had the same options! So 3 restaurants was essentially one menu. We also ate in the Greek, Italian and the Chinese restaurant but they had a canteen vibe about them and didn’t feel luxurious or special. I also noticed the main buffet restaurants do themed evenings which you guessed it were Greek Italian or Chinese! We ate out more than we ate in because we didn’t enjoy the ambience / vibe of the restaurants and felt getting dressed up for the canteens was an anti climax. We always asked the local taxi driver to take us somewhere they would recommend and every time we got a great recommendation. The rooms were dated but I knew this from the brochure pictures. Our room was always clean and towels changed daily but we were only given 2 pillows on one of the beds, the other person had to make do with 1 and overall they weren’t the most comfortable beds. The resort is massive and depending which block you are placed in, it could take you a good 10 minutes to get to reception, water park etc. You can call for buggy ride to drop you off but it will just come when it’s ready so it could be 1 minute or 15 minutes etc. Attempted to use the spa facilities one day but the sauna and steam room were cold, and the receptionist blamed it on other guest turning them off so can’t comment on this. Staff are polite and friendly but they were understaffed and you could tell. One employee explained that they had recruited from Philippines but no where near enough positions were filled and I think this could be an issue if it was high season. I caught a glimpse of one show, ABBA, but it just looked like the same dance routine for every song! Entertaining but more because it was funny than unmissable. We didn’t travel with children so I can’t comment on the children’s entertainment. Kos is a lovely resort but there isn’t a sandy beach, it’s more shingle so don’t visit if you’re wanting a sandy beach!

We have just got back from a 2 weeks stay here, for our wedding. The staff work their butt's off to make your stay amazing, got friendly with most as we was there for two weeks, they work long hours and double shifts, great staff The food isn't amazing and after 2 weeks you do get bored but there's plenty of choice and themed nights, water park food great for dinner, restaurants on site nice but book in early to avoid disappointment. The entertainment staff are amazing I have two small children, 2&5 so was in the entertainment tent every single night! They work long long shifts rehearsals, day entertainment, bingo, running kids club and awesome shows!!! The singers and dancers are all very good and highly skilled!! They work around the clock and are really good with children and understanding of occasional drunken ****** Hotel is huge lots of stuff for everyone and great for young children, and if you'd like to venture out its €9 in a taxi to centre and there's a bike rental next door
