A great location for a wonderful beach / (short walks) walking holiday. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent, with wide range of selection, excellent grilled fish daily, if that’s your thing. All in all a wonderful time had here, recommend 7-10 nights, would be just the ticket.

Beautiful holiday with family. I must highlight the great service, excellent and varied food, professional staff. Everything was tidy, always perfectly prepared, moreover all the staff love children. Every day cleaned room, even always something extra for the children. I recommend 100% this hotel when I really enjoyed the holiday. Thank you all

Wow this holiday was one of the best! We stayed in the Sovereign beach hotel and it was unreal! Definitely deserves a 5*, our room was beautiful and clean , the maid would come everyday providing fresh bedding and new towels. The beach is on this resort and it’s one of the best. They have the most sensational food, cooked fresh and the waiter/ waitresses were so kind and lovely ! Mel the bar man and beach bar server was the best ! We tipped him at the end of our trip. He is a true credit to that team and goes above and beyond for his customers ! Can’t wait to come back and revisit . It’s in the perfect location , just walking distance from Kardamena town ,where there are wonderful restaurants to eat and drink, I really recommend ‘the sunbeam’ . I’m looking at booking my holiday again here

I am currently sat in the restaurant, evening 4 of 7! The food is amazing with so much choice, veggie, fish, pasta and meat dishes. Or you can have the best pizza or burgers. The all inclusive drinks are great too, so much choice! I’ve got a swim up bungalow, omgeee it’s amazing! I emailed the hotel before arriving to let them know if my hip issue, I did pay extra but believe me it was worth it. It’s a quiet hotel, 1.2miles from Kardemina (I’ve walked it numerous time with Strava app) so a short 15/min walk. The beach and pools are not too busy that you need to get up at stupid Alcock to reserve beds, it’s no need here. I did the sunset cruise with TUI, it was very good and split the week up nicely. Don’t believe the negative nellies, I his place is fantastic and I would definitely come back for another relaxing week in the glorious Kos sunshine and genuine hospitality.

We stayed at this hotel for 10 nights at the end of July into August. On arrival we were told we had been upgraded from a twin room with seaview to a bungalow with seaview and swim up pool which was amazing so we didn't have a need to use the main pool which did look very nice. The room was very clean and comfortable and cleaned every day with clean towels etc. The hotel staff are really hard working, friendly and very helpful, especially Mel who runs the Taverna during the day and the main bar in the evening and Tania who runs the restaurant. We were all inclusive, there is a good selection of food to chose from which is well presented and a good selection of drinks in the resturant, where you can to eat inside or outside. There is a also a pool bar and a taverna where you can get food and drinks during the day. The main bar in the hotel is open in the evenings. The beach is accessible through the well kept grounds of the hotel and just across a very quiet road where there are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas to use free of charge. The hotel is set in countryside with mountains in the background but its only a 20 minute walk to Kardamena (or the hotel run a free minibus twice a day). Kardamena has a lovely harbour with Tavernas along the front, there are also plenty of gift shops to browse in too. There is a small shop in the hotel which stocks gifts, beach items and cooled drinks etc which came in very handy at times. There is entertainment for children each day during the day and family entertainment in evening except Saturday which is the animation teams day off. Can't fault this hotel at all we will definitely be returning next year.

Before visiting Sovereign Beach I as most people do I read the reviews.. some were slightly off putting but thank goodness I went with my gut feeling! I don’t know how anyone can leave anything less than a 5 star review for this hotel. I traveled with my parents and my 13 year old son. My parents had the most beautiful room with a shared pool outside. This is shared between 4 terraced rooms. The rooms have their own private terrace with sun loungers away from the main pool. The main pool is salt regulated so no awful strong smell of chlorine stinging your eyes. My son and I stayed on the first floor of the main building which again the room was perfect with a view over the sea. The cleaners visited our room everyday and left the rooms immaculate! The actual complex grounds have gardeners working flat out all day keeping the area pristine. The gardens are stunning! The animation team had a schedule of entertainment from 10am till after 10pm in the evening. During the day they ran exercise classes in and out of the pool, games, kids club and not to mention the 3.45pm communal water polo game. Even the life guard jumped in the pool to join in daily. Such fun to watch. On an evening there is an amphitheatre which hosts a kids disco 8.30 till 9.15pm followed by entertainment of the evening. We watched acrobats, singers and Greek dancers. There are ample sun loungers around the pool with no need to get up early to put towels down (however this didn’t stop people who were particular about where they wanted to be). The food is in abundance! Every meal there was something for everyone. There is a fresh pasta, carvery and handmade pizza chef every night. There is also the pool bar which make fresh sweet and savoury crepes all day and also the beach taverna open all day with hotdogs, burgers, gyros and souvlaki till 6pm. Each evening was a themed dinner. We experienced Mediterranean, Mexican, food from around the world, Asian, and Greek themed evenings. The drinks that are available are branded fizzy drinks, fresh juices, beer, wine and a huge list of excellent cocktails. Also some mocktails. There is a list of trips and bus times at reception. On Monday my son and I went to the water-sports hut on the beach. We gave the man a call who immediately arranged a boat to collect us to take us around the coast where we had the choice of lots of water sports. We chose the jet skis. This is run by a really friendly lady from Nottingham. The beach is not much to write home about and is quite stony on the way in but the sea is beautiful and clear. I could go on and on about how much of an amazing holiday we have just had.. so much so I will 100% be visiting next year. Thank you so much Sovereign Beach.. until next year! 🙂

We booked this hotel as a last minute 4 night break. The rooms are of a good size, with daily maid service. The location of the hotel is perfect with lots of beautiful scenery. A short journey to the town via the hotel shuttle service. Entertainment was fantastic with something for all ages! There was always a variety of food available at meal times, however it was never hot! Ice cream and crepes at the pool bar were perfect for our little one and the Gyros at the beach bar are a must! On our first morning we arrived at the pool after breakfast at 8:30 to find ALL sun beds had been reserved, with less than a tenth of them actually occupied. This was the case until the pool opened! Unfortunately the pool is only open from 10-18 which is frustrating when children are up and ready to get in from 8! One to bear in mind if you have a late flight home, there is an €80 charge to keep your room until 6pm!

Excellent holiday and experience at this 5 star Hotel. Staff went above and beyond to meet our expectations. In particular I would like to mention reception staff John and Eva who went out of their way to cater for, care for and attend to our needs. Many thanks. Pleasant surprise to be upgraded on arrival to a bungalow with our own pool. The food was better than what we expected. Lots of variety and restaurant staff work so hard in particular Affrim and Christina so many thanks to them too. Hotel was clean and spotless with maid service every day. Nothing was too much trouble for the hotel staff. Courtesy bus into Kardemena was good as taxis could be unpredictable. I would definitely return and mainly because we were made to feel so welcome. The hotel is of high standard and deserves recognition and praise. The views are outstanding and I even did the spa which was a blissful experience and not overly priced. Excellent work Sovereign Beach staff! ⛱
