Arrived and was designated a room by the local who hardly spoke any English. We dropped off our luggage in the assigned room and went out. In the evening during our family dinner in a restaurant. The local called my mobile and spoke Malay. Insisting we change room and come back immediately to return him the key. He insisted we were given the wrong room and must return the key. Kept asking were we were and how long to come back. It ruined our family dinner as it was my mom’s first trip since my father passed away. We rushed through dinner and went back. He took away our keys and ushered us to another room. Then gave us a new key and left us. I looked around the room and realised it was a horrible. Black powdery mould was on the walls and there were ants. The beds smelled mildly sweaty and several of the lights didn’t even work, making the house gloomy and foreboding. At night when the lights went out, cockroaches crawled out and we found them scurrying around when we turned on the lights to go to the toilet. The toilet was like an army barrack style shower with absolutely nothing but a spout. When I messaged the management, they ignored my messages. My mom and children were too discouraged and just told me to forget it, this is how they operate around here. We left early the next day. The windows, walls and doors were deteriorating badly. We also discovered they stored extra bedsheets in dirty and unsanitary areas. Hotel.com. needs to reevaluate accepting this location.
