Hotel Heritage

It's an old hotel, so there are traces of an old resort hotel. The facilities are old, but the interior is nice. There is a hot spring on the premises, which guests can use. There are no shops nearby, so we ate at the restaurant in the hot spring facility. It's inconvenient if you don't have a car, but you can get there by bus from Shinrin-koen Station on the Tobu Tojo Line. You can also get to the Fukaya Hanazono outlet by bus, so it's a good place to enjoy hot springs and shopping relatively close to the city center.

I travel several times a year, but for better or worse, this hotel felt old and nostalgic. Check-in and check-out were very slow compared to newer hotels in urban areas. Also, when I called the hotel to ask about the bus time, an older male employee explained that it was posted in the lobby on the second floor. I was shocked and laughed at the poor service, which I had never experienced in other hotels. I can accept that much, but the noise around the room was loud, which was disappointing.

Since I have an infant, I looked at the website carefully. Even so, there were more times than other hotels where I thought, "Huh? But it was on the website, but..." I thought this was normal, considering the price range, so I'll call it normal. However, I was a little surprised because it was the first time I had been to the front desk without any help even though I had a little more luggage and a stroller. I was wrong to think that they would help me, but I almost left my luggage there by mistake. Also, the directions to my questions were a little hard to understand. When I asked where the coin laundry was, the front desk told me that it should be visible up the hill, but I thought it would be in sight, so I went into the visible building, and there were only toilets and locker rooms, so I asked another person, and they showed me right away. (Thank you.) The actual location was what looked like a staff room in the annex elevator. (There was a hotel dishwashing machine there, so I thought it was for staff only.) If you look closely, you can see that it says "women's coin laundry" at the top, but is it visible up the hill? I'm sorry, but it's a little hard to understand... The food is also a little confusing. When I looked at the website, I thought it was a garden restaurant with a picture of a buffet, but in reality, dinner was served at a banquet hall called the Aurora Hall. I thought they had baby food after looking at the picture, but when I made a reservation for the breakfast restaurant, they said they had porridge, so I thought, "So what about dinner?" There was a children's corner, but there was no baby food for the age of the baby? I thought. When I asked the AI, it said to contact the reservation center. I misunderstood and thought that it was like other hotels, where the food was placed on the spot, but maybe you buy it at the front desk? I was convinced. I was convinced, but I wish they had made it more clear. If I had known, I would have bought baby food, so I would have brought it with me. However, the children's corner had things that children like, so I think children would be happy. I thought the hot spring was a private open-air bath, but it was actually a private mixed-gender open-air bath lol You have to read it carefully lol The website also said that swimsuits were required, but I overlooked that...! (I bought it for 100 yen, so it was fine.) It was my first time in a mixed bath, but it was good and not the scary one I had imagined. It was good that my baby, who loves baths, also seemed to enjoy it. The pool was also very good. We had fun as a family. It has good points, but I think it's a shame that it's difficult to understand overall. Especially if they claim to welcome children, I wish the information on their website was a little easier to understand. This time we had an infant with us, so we had inquired beforehand, so it was a shame. However, I understand that for this price range, this is normal, including all the food services, but it's still a little confusing, so I would like it to be a little more clear.

It is best to avoid this hotel if you have multiple small children. For adults. When we checked in, we were told to wait at the front desk with just the children, including small children, and to move our car to the parking lot by ourselves. There was no staff to accompany the children, which was very unsettling and uncomfortable. There are not many chairs for children, and they may not be usable. They should increase the number of chairs for children or set an age limit. The large public bath is very far away. There is no air conditioning in the hallways. The rooms are old, but the food is delicious. The elevator was hot, probably because there was no air conditioning. The pool was clean because it was renovated.

The food quality is too low for the price. I think they should improve the breakfast a bit.
