Hotels near Mount Kinabalu Golf Club, Kundasang

The place is beautiful but you can't see it. The road is ok.. near the town it is easy to buy supplies. Can you imagine what it's like to live in a caravan?

I loved my stay at this resort. Its location is fantastic! I was looking to disconnect and relax - and that’s precisely what I got! It is situated on top of a hill and it is completely surrounded by nature. The room was great! It had a TV, a nice bathroom and a big and comfortable bed. I loved the wet Mee Hoon with seafood at the restaurant. All in all, it’s an ideal place to relax, stay a bit away from the noise of the city and enjoy the lovely views of Mount Kinabalu and the surroundings. Many thanks to the staff for making this experience awesome!

We stayed at Happy Pink, we like the cold nights and breeze there! The view is the same as the photos! Perfect for nature lovers who love sceneries' more the TV. The swing outside each house is enjoyable to have a view at Mount KK. We like the cosyness of the restaurants and the service there. Food is ok but a little slow in serving. Negative is that the water for showering is too weak to be used. We were joking that ”By the time the water flow down to our feet, our hair is already dry”

1/ simple and affordable price while the place is uphill, 2/ challenging road , better go up with car, if by walking then will be part of climbing trainIng 3/ staff is helpful with walkie talkie assistance 4/ shared kitchen allowed to use ,always keep clean and you can buy some snacks or titbit or hotcup noodles are available selling at resort counter

+ next to Poring hot springs + peaceful and quiet where could hear the nature's sounds (insects, river flows) especially at night which I love + warm welcome by receptionist and staff at the office when I arrived, the receptionist did a very informative briefing about the place which was very useful + comfortable bed, pillows, blanket & towels + a staff escorted to the room + had toiletries, kettle, glasses, mugs, TV, side lamps, hair dryer, Astro, jug, air-con, water heater, fan, toilet slippers, tissue paper and eco-friendly water refill bottle in the room + has parking + helpful 'WhatsApp' staff + room was cold even though the air-con/fan was not switch on + has stalls, shops and restaurants nearby + clear TV reception + has filtered water station for guests - would be great if all staff are warm, greet everyone - limited choice of breakfast (6 menus), this could be understandable since not so many units of accomodations are offered here but the management might do 'menu rotation'? Just a thought - the breakfast is pricey for ala carte and needs to be improved on the taste - I asked for room service for the breakfast - no coffee/tea came with it, only a juice and no bread for American breakfast. With a price range between RM45 - RM60, I think it would be better. - water on the bathroom floor didn't flow well into the drain - no second key inside the room at the door - no iron and its board, mini refrigerator in the room - the walkway is dark, no lamps - would be wonderful if the room's outdoor furniture cleanliness can be upgraded

I visited with my Family on the 8th of August. Took a twin room which has 2 queen sized beds. I arrived at the location at noon, feeling very stressed out because was having a bit of an argument with the family. My mother was having one of her fits when we arrived, saying she didn't like the place, I on the other hand, was wondering why I spent so much money on this place. I called the caretaker and he was quick to respond, good guy, we got to our room, still stressed out, and felt instantly that the room was sp****. I was immediately questioning my reasoning for booking this place. Fast forward an hour or so later, when everyone calmed down (mother included), we were immediately in a better mood. The landscaping of the place is really beautiful, and the view of mount kinabalu was very majestic. We left both the front and back door open and the winds were blowing through the room, keeping it cool, my mom and my sisters were all starting to enjoy the place, myself included. I started looking into the details of the rooms, the quality of the materials used to construct the villa was of the highest quality, toilet was made with marble, and everything else was simple but robust, and could tell that material choice was quite important. The landscaping was also quite nice. Beautiful garden. And it's just so private. To sum it all up here are the pros and cons of this place. Pros: 1. High quality material used to construct the rooms 2. Beautiful landscaping - very calming and great. 3. Very private 4. Friendly and quick team to reply 5. Nice toilet (best in Kundasang) Cons 1. Price a bit on the high side (but it's private and most probably the nicest hotel in kundasang, cant compare to established hotels in the city( 2. Lacks some finer details : instead of 3 in 1 coffee, put a Nespresso machine in every room with 4 to 6 capsules, that really makes a difference in terms of perceived quality. 3. Pillows could be better - sheets are alright and bed is alright - but I stayed in four seasons kl for 40 percent cheaper, so... A bit hard on that end 4. I appreciate the disposable tooth brush, soaps etc. But I think the soap would be better if it was in a bottle stuck to the shower wall where it can be refillable, perhaps they could use a branded soap and shampoo for that, and not put it in small bottles, but in refillable permanent bottles in the room. 5. Restaurant - it's not under them, they share it with the hotel about a 5 minutes drive away. It's not bad, but it's far from good. No alcohol in sight there, so better BYOD. Although pricing wise it's on the high side, and there are some things that they can improve on, I'd still go back there, as it's the only great and private stay in kundasang. Everywhere else is not up to spring gardens quality, for now....

Every room has balcony 😊 Don’t: No electricity upon arrival Bed linen were filled with dust, small small dead bugs. Quite old, can hear from downstairs footsteps, shower, television voice, people talking. Common: The road to Nikgold quite challenging ( as common as other areas in Kundasang, so it wasnt a big deal) No phone line, they do provide WiFi which is excellent Overall it was a pleasant stay. Stayed for one night, last minute booking via direct Whatsapp. Room rate is fixed for whole year, and no sudden increase of rate even with last minute booking. (I booked 1 day before stay). Booked Superior Deluxe room, located at highest point of the resort. Parking is available although tight. Road to parking is not so steep. You park just infront your own room. I got room S3, and neighboring room S4 was vacant. Had the large balcony to ourselves. View is magnificient Mount Kinabalu directly in front of your eyes. Staffs are very nice, they are all local people. Deposit RM200, can QR or cash (I think quite a lot of money) Garden is clean, well maintained, unexpectedly well pruned. Pine trees are gorgeous, some are cut to give way for Mount Kinabalu view to guest. Room: Spacious, with TV, water heater, wall fan. No air cond as it is highland. One card key, dont miss it or leave in room. Switches are manual, no need to insert card key at wall. Dinner & Breakfast provided. I guess hard to find dinner in this area if you dont have transport. Given vouchers for dinner & breakfast. Dinner menu are fixed and changed daily. But can add on separate order. Strawberry milkshake is nice. For breakfast, need to inform waiter on what menu you want for breakfast during the dinner time. So they can prepare early for tomorrow. I ordered American breakfast. Was okay. Beverage like tea, coffee are local made and free flow. Can order other beverage separately. Excellent and convenient stay, will definiely stay here everytime I visit Kundasang.

When you come in, the toilet smells, you don't have to give it a clean check...

We revisited the property because of the location just a week apart. First time the price was rm100, then a week after that rm135 including breakfast. They do not have option to exclude the breakfast. When I inquired about the breakfast, the front desk showed me their menu with wide range of breakfast but the next morning, we were given a coupon to tick one of 5 choices, 2 of which were not available. Choices were bad, food was bad, all in all - rm35 breakfast for 2 was not worth it. You could find a better tasting options in the town which is just a walking distance. They will ask for deposit. First time, the deposit was rm50, then they increased it to rm100 a week later. So, I am not sure how long this review will stand correct when it comes to the amount of deposit they actually required. Telephone was not working (which they change for us), TV was not working (which they couldn't do much because they haven't applied for Astro), room slightly dusty, flooring makes sound when you walk, so you might need to tiptoe if someone is sleeping, the garden table at the balcony could be hazardous simply because they failed to adhere to the law of physics, and when you thought it couldn't go worse, the next day we had a very noisy guests with kids running and shouting as early as 6am in the morning. Apart of the location, I don't think I would rate this property as good value for the money.
