Love the vibe and ambient a lot. Especially to where is walking distance !

We love the hotel so much. The staff are very polite and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Definitely will stay again if we visit Kyoto next time

The hotel location is a bit far from the shopping area. The service and cleanest is on above average. The hotel is new and modern. At the last, the hotel didn’t provide body lotion, the amenities need to be picked at the lobby. Overall is on average, but can be better

i need to sit down and type all this out. it is misleading at first, clarity was unsatisfied. let me justify. cleanliness - the room floor is concrete like and you feel the dirt on the flooring and try stepping on the bed you can see dust stuck on the mattress after that. location is horrible the nearest to stn exit is FULLY staircase good luck coming from Gojo station. Service is definitely not japanese style the staff are youngsters, very boutique feel hotel and they talk down on you when you raise a concern. amenities is my main issue. i specifically booked all my japan trip hotels on this app, filtered the search for smoking room and found this place. yes SMOKING PERMITTED ON LEVEL 1 in a tiny room please dont mislead yourself this is a non-smoking hotel okay. you cant smoke in your room and the windows do not open so dont even have to try. overall i will never stay here again. new hotel but so much to learn from the other hotel chains. good part? maybe laundry room was well equipped. and there is a money exchange machine on the lobby so you wont worry too much. that is it. oh wait, luggage space below is spacious but dirty so yeah goodbye expensive luggage scraping the dust on the floor under the bed. my head remembered checking in at 3pm at this place and i thought it was because they were cleaning a smoking room so they needed more time but no they are just strict about check in time eventhough im staying for 4 nights. nightmare.

ASAI is such a lovely hotel chain from Thailand. The decoration is tinted with Thai culture which is nice. The location is alright, close to bus stop but a little off from Kyoto station. The room is compact, which actually normal for Japanese standard anyway

The Hotel was really nice. It's located really good and all the main spots of Kyoto are good connected with the nearby metro. All in all a really nice, clean and well designed Hotel.

A Dusit Thani offshoot. It’s new and clean and pretty. Staying in the basement was wierd. The staff are very friendly. Breakfast was meh. It does the job but nothing to write home about. Location is a bit off so need to walk some distance…but their slogan goes ‘live local….’

Hotel is in a central location, but not in a busy neighbourhood. Walking distance from station and Gion. Very friendly staff and very clean hotel. Rooms are new and comfortable size for Japan standards

I forgot my wallet in the room safe and contacted the staff for help. They are very helpful and efficient! Thank you Asai for the great service! Love the breakfast and the room too!! Will definitely stay again!!!
