Location not quite conveniently located if driving. Yet, great experience with great design

Pro: The location of the hotel was within reach of metro stations, 7/11 and Lawson were next door. The shower was very spacious and a great water pressure. Con:The room was quite small

Hotel is new and walkable to all the shopping district of Kyoto. Room is modern and clean.

Location: Located at Karasuma Oike Station, walk to the right from Exit 5 for 3 minutes. It takes about 9 minutes to walk to Nishiki Market and about 12 minutes to Kawaramachi. There are small shops, restaurants, supermarkets, and kimono rental shops nearby. Catering: Traditional breakfast, not buffet, free coffee and tea available all day Environment: A traditional Kyoto machiya has been renovated, with space for tourists to rest. Spa: There is a bath, but the changing area is too small. If too many people are too oppressive Room: Comfortable and clean, but the room is small. It is recommended to stay in a larger room. 

The lobby door shop is an ancient building with history. The room space is average, but it is enough. I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The location is not bad. It is very convenient to go to Sanjo Street. There are many boutique and fashionable brand stores, which is very easy to visit. Didn't eat breakfast, there are many places to eat around the hotel. The best part is that you can take a bath every day, but you have to bring your own towel. Overall, it can be recommended. Of course, if you like peace and quiet, Gion is better.

I specially booked an executive double room with a higher price than an ordinary double room, but it is still not big. Japanese-style breakfast, when you check in, you need to make a reservation for a few days of dining time, and you can’t sleep until you wake up naturally every morning (because you can’t get up in the morning and want to sleep a little longer, you will be woken up by the phone from the hotel asking why you don’t go to breakfast) Comments The Japanese breakfast that received a lot of praise in the website was actually just a bento that was also sold at the airport later. The hotel sofa bed had unidentified stains and felt dirty. The service is also average. I brushed my teeth before going to bed at night and found that there was no toothbrush.
