I love this hotel! The old site of Nintendo was renovated by Tadao Ando. The service is very good, and the lounge and free bar in the evening are so comfortable. Next to it is the Kamo River and a small waterway with green trees, which is very suitable for walking. The restaurant is run by a famous chef and has a bit of flavor, but whether you like this style or not needs to be considered. The furniture and atmosphere are so comfortable, I will come again next time!

Composed of two large rooms and a courtyard with an open-air bathtub, it is very beautiful and special. It was very nice. It was originally Nintendo's headquarters and company housing, but it was turned into a hotel, and we were also able to see Nintendo's products and history. It's a retro but beautiful building, and I felt that they were particular about the amenities. There are so many hotels and B&Bs in Kyoto that it’s easy to be spoiled for choice. At first, I was torn between a few hotels located on the edge of the Kamogawa River. I accidentally discovered Marufukuro. As a die-hard Nintendo fan, I placed an order without saying a word. The hotel used to be the second-generation Nintendo office building. At that time, it was a company selling flower cards. The house was renovated and turned into a hotel, and it was designed by the famous teacher Tadao Ando. The interior of the hotel has a retro charm, and it's easy to take photos if you know how to take photos. There are also many places to visit, including the former Nintendo warehouse. In short, it is a very, very unique high-end hotel that is worth the price of admission.

It is a little over 1 km away from Kyoto Station. You can walk. It is close to the Keihan Electric Railway. It is convenient to go to Uji. It may be suitable to go to other places in Kyoto by bus. You can see Kamogawa just a few steps away. At seven o'clock in the morning, the big waders of Kamogawa will walk around in the old houses in the community, jumping and leaping, which is really a heart-warming sight.
