Response from Property: Thank you very much for staying at The Westin Miyako Hotel Kyoto.As you have written, our hotel is located on a hill in Higashiyama, Kyoto, surrounded by rich nature and historical buildings,The hotel is a 2-minute walk from Keage Subway Station.Nanzenji Temple and Heian Shrine are within walking distance.We also operate a shuttle bus service. The shuttle bus goes directly from Kyoto Station to the hotel. The shuttle bus takes you to the Hachijo Exit of Kyoto Station (Shinkansen side) via Sanjo Keihan and Gion-Shijo, Kyoto's downtown area, in about 25 minutes.Once you get off at Gion-Shijo, the Minami-za Theater is right in front of you.
