A typical youth hostel, the first floor restaurant, the second floor study plus kitchen, the third floor bedroom and the washing area, the location is close to the Kamogawa Delta, it is very convenient to go to the Kamogawa Shrine.

I have nothing but gratitude for the kind owner. This hotel did not have excessive service, so it was easy to stay and it was good. I had business at the nearest Kumano Wakaoji Shrine, but it was a very convenient hotel at a close distance. The bath and kitchen were clean and beautiful. However, since there is no TV in the room, it was good to bring a portable radio in advance. A few minutes' walk away is the Datsukus Jodoji store directly across from the supermarket Fresco, and a few minutes' walk to the Family Mart store. I bought a lunch box for two meals in the morning and evening at Fresco and stayed there for several nights. It is a good hotel that is convenient, cheap, and easy to stay in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto. I would like to stay again.

We had a delightful few days at this lovely ryokan. Service was super friendly and welcoming. The room was cosy and traditional (futons on floor, with thick, warm duvets). The location is great, just a short walk to a quiet station which will take you to Gion and Pontocho in a few stops. The same train line also links to local routes which will take you to several of the less busy temples. If you are lucky enough to be here for the autumn leaves as we were then you should see Enkoji and Shisen-do (they are next to each other): sublime! Many thanks to Sawaya Honten for a memorable stay in Kyoto.

A very good homestay, the elderly are amiable, grandpa can speak a little English and translation software is basically no problem, grandma is very gentle. There is a Japanese breakfast at 8 o’clock, and nearby restaurants close at 4 o’clock in the afternoon. You can ride a bike to the nearby supermarket for free, but it’s better to choose a homestay to eat. I booked a miso hot pot and chicken for dinner the next day at 6:30. Or pork is optional, rice can be topped with tempura and soba noodles, it is good and not expensive. The bathroom is very complete, and it is very comfortable to have a small sink to soak. The location is very good. I am a little tired after dragging my luggage and reversing. It’s really good to be very close to the station. From Ohara Station, follow the instructions to the direction of Jakkoin, and walk down the stone steps for 5 minutes along the path. Sen-in Temple or Jakko-in Temple are also within walking distance. Living for two days is very comfortable if you have time. Unlike the city, where there is no busy traffic, the life in the country is also a simple and simple enjoyment!
