Very good hotel, clean. Recommend +++. Room not cleaned for 3 days only small problem (understandable given the number of rooms in the hotel) very satisfactory all the same. Hearty breakfast. Still a good experience.

The bad reviews are too harsh this hotel was unreal the staff were lovely and always made us feel welcomed. When we got into our room it was completely spotless not a single flaw anywhere I went with my mum and myself and we loved it the view from our room was amazing and we could see the pool and it was always cleaned every morning. my favourite was the food there was a variety of food and you could pick what you liked and didn’t like. The desert was pretty good you could choose to add extras like sprinkles and for breakfast there was so much that we loved you were able to add chocolate or toffee onto your pastry’s and there was a large selection. Its not too far from the shops but it is a little bit of a walk. This place was a bit out of our price range but it was worth it and I will definitely be coming back again

We are not long back from a one week stay at the Sol Costa Daurada and had a lovely stay here with 2 x adults and 1 x 3 year old. On arrival we entered into the reception area around 11:30am knowing that our hotel room may not be ready until nearer 2:30/3:00pm but to our luck they had our room ready for us which was very much appreciated. Request a pool view where you can, it was a lovely added feature to be able to look onto the pool and watch the entertainment in the evening when our toddler was in bed. The other side of the hotel looks onto roads. The room itself was lovely, very clean, the maid was attentive and done a great job. Our little one is still in a cot at home but I didn't want to request one here and have it take up space within the room so we thought we would see what was there on arrival and go with it. There was one double bed and a sofa bed that folded out to a double. We ended up pushing both beds together and my husband and I slept at either side of our toddler and it was absolutely fine, toddler was in his element! There is a fridge in the room which is handy to stock with water etc from the local shop. No charging points beside the bed (first world problems I know but would have been a good feature). The pool areas are lovely, there is no morning rush for sunbeds or laying towels down. The little pool was a great size. I would recommend taking some little toys (primark tatt) such as watering cans etc to keep them entertained here. Some of the sun loungers did not recline up and down so just be mindful when picking your beds. The restaurant was a great size, spacious and bright, although no air con and felt muggy in some evenings and at 6 months pregnant was tough at times. The breakfast was great, plenty to choose from and machines for apple/orange juice as well as water. We took a couple of my toddlers water bottles to fill with cold water for him each morning. We found dinners to be a little disappointing. We are vegetarian and really struggled to find food to eat every night, the dishes were meat and fish. Our week consisted of plain pasta, sauce, bread, chips, rice on repeat, it was difficult near the end. One or two nights there were veggie burgers or falafal but apart from that nothing. I don't know if it's a culture thing and Spain don't have a lot of veggies but we really struggled to last the full week eating here in the evenings. Another thing that was a little disappointing for young families was how late dinner and entertainment started. Dinner opened at 7pm and the childrens entertainment didn't start until 9pm. We found this to be quite late for young children that refuse to nap anymore and felt the childrens entertainment could have been brought forward a little more. Each nice it was just dances and not much to it. Port Aventura is a 10/15 min walk, really easy walk and handy to have on the doorstep. Ferrari Land was a waste of time, we didn't rate it at all! Our toddler was just 1m, he got on all

The hotel cleansiness was to a good standard, room was cleaned daily including mopping the floors, and fresh towels everyday, and bed linens were changed. We had a room with 2 singles pushed together and a single sofa bed for our son, my brother had a double bed with a double sofa bed in their room for his family of 4. Air conditioning was free, safe was €18 for our 10 day stay. The hotel caters for British, French and Spanish, so everything is repeated in 3 languages including the entertainment on the evening, which doesn't start until 9pm with kids disco (party dances) then followed by adults entertainment at 10pm with either a quiz, bingo or an outside act like a singer. They did day time activities too such as darts, pool, Frisbee etc competitions where you can win a free drink. There was alot of Spanish schools staying at the hotel, so although they were out during the day, they would fill the pool about 5pm, and the canteen could get busy at certain times. One day we had dinner later than usual at 8:30pm as we had been to the theme park and there was barely any food left, but it was refilled shortly after. Dinner is served from 7pm-9:45pm. The staff that seat you into the dining room were pleasant and welcoming but some of the waiter staff who clear the tables and get the drinks were abit grumpy. Drinks were included at breakfast consisting of a hot drinks machine and a juice machine. No drinks included with evening meal. Food was a hit or miss, some days we struggled to get the kids to eat the options available, so if you have fussy kids i don't recommend, they did have southern fried chicken one night as an option which the kids were happy about, and there is always chips available. There is a salad bar, with made up seafood cocktails and other mini salads with various fish, cheeses, pates etc. There's always a range of bread/rolls, and there is a grill where various meats and fish are cooked on evening and in the morning this is used for the fried eggs with sometimes omelettes, pancakes or streaky bacon. Various desserts available on evening including cheesecakes, profiteroles, tubs of ice cream and jellies for the kids. Breakfast was good with cooked option, and cereals, different bread options for the toast with jams, honey, marmalade available, churros and chocolate hazelnut spread, but no fresh fruit other than occasionally tinned fruit cocktail. Kettles are not provided in room but can be rented from reception at €40, €20 refunded on return, but they are only travel sized and you can purchase one for just €12 at the local supermarkets. Facilities list mini bar but it is not stocked so I'm guessing it will be on request. We stayed in May half term and there were always plenty of sunbeds to use around the pool. The hotel is about 10 minute walk to the shops and 15 mins to the beach. Sunbeds at the beach were €8 each. Close to the hotel on route to shops and beach is a bar called Harry Potters, the food is lower price than those closer

I want to give a shout out to Rosi, what a lovely lady. Always had a smile on her face, polite and just an overall lovely person. She really made our holiday I dont usually leave reviews, but I felt II needed to give this lady credit for her hardwork The hotel was nice and clean Food was okay, not a great choice for me to be honest, but you can always fine something to get you through the day Entertainment was okay too, again I felt it definitely needed a little more Apart fron this, I had a lovely time

We did half-board. Really enjoyed our stay. Breakfast superb, stays the same every day -juice, coffee etc included. Dinner was average, although options change each evening which was nice. Room was small but modern and clean. However, we booked balcony with pool view - they didn’t specify which pool, so we had to look over the neighbouring apartment block one instead. Balcony was also in the shade most of the time. Staff were lovely and really helpful, however, we weren’t given much information when we checked in. Overall a gorgeous hotel, pools were fabulous & would definitely return.

Absolutely amazing holiday, my partner and both boys really enjoyed themselves ,great entertainment. Everybody is so kind and welcoming in the hotel and all the surrounding areas, everything is local and probably a maximum 20min walk to be able to reach anything and everything you will ever need for a holiday. The hotel itself is immense the rooms are cleaned to perfection the dining hall is beautiful and the food choices are epic...its a must for anybody traveling for the 1st time to salou costa dorada.

Lovely pool area our two boys enjoyed. Enthusiastic staff, especially those running mini disco every evening and lovely restaurant staff who interacted with our children. Great location half way between port aventura and the beach. Food varied every evening, with plenty of choice for everyone.
