I stayed at the Lincolnshire Marriott hotel for 3 nights. The day before checking out, I discovered a pair of used black panties covered in dust in the corner of my room by the drapes. Absolutely filthy and disgusting. They had obviously been there for quite some time. The lack of inattention to the sanitary conditions in this hotel is abhorrent. I'd rather not imagine what else is going on in this establishment. To make matters worse, I reported the issue to the front desk manager during checkout who offered me a cup of coffee and breakfast as a solution. This man is in the wrong industry and should have gotten into stand-up. Who would want to eat in place like that? Thankfully, I knew better than to dine at hotel of this tier prior to the discovery. He went on to say that because I booked my trip with *******, there was nothing else he could do. Unbelievable. Marriott Corporate will know about this shortly. Zero professionalism or effort. The room should have been comped.
In the meantime, readers beware. Booking your trip through these third parties basically gives hotels immunity - you could die there and all you'll get is Starbucks.
I only booked this place because it was a convenient middle ground between my destination and the airport. Never again. I'll happily drive an extra 30mins and stay at the Four Seasons. Marriott just reinforced why that's a good idea. To the reader: save your money or take your business elsewhere.
