I don't ever write reviews but I felt the need to on this trip. I went to visit my father for Christmas, away from my husband. They are refusing to refund me for two nights unused because I had to check out early. The breakfast was mediocre and cold. The beds were surprisingly uncomfortable and the staff was not great either. When I checked in it was good but checking out, the lady seemed annoyed because I mentioned I would be checking out early and that's all I said. I will NEVER stay here again and I do not recommend this hotel.

LLex DangerWow, this stay was fabulous! I stayed for 2 nights and I knew it would be great because BJ's Restaurant was literally less than 2 minutes away by walking! They were festive for Halloween in the lobby! In the morning, I indulged in their breakfast. They had a waffle maker, assorted fruits, juices and water with lemon. The rooms are very clean and all your amenities are there; they do not have their travel sized take home amenities which is great to me. They have refillable lotions, shampoo, conditioner etc... I would stay here again and again!

LLexii AdventureI LOVE staying at the Aloft in Lubbock! The atmosphere is so zen and calming, and the beds make you feel like you don't want to leave. I love how quiet it can be and you're right there in the midst of all the things to do! Loads of places to eat

A decent place to stay for a couple of nights if you’re in West Lubbock. There are some good dining options within a couple of miles, including some well-known chains and a couple of good local restaurants like Plaza and Teddy Jack’s. For a Fairfield, the fitness center was well equipped, the breakfast was decent both mornings I was here. The yogurt fridge was well stocked, but I didn’t see any fresh berry options. Minor inconveniences included the elevator not being operational (I was on the first floor, fortunately.) and the side doors to the parking lot, not allowing entry back into the building… One has to enter through the main entrance every time. However, my room was very clean upon check-in, and the staff was polite (especially the kitchen guy). There is a train track across Milwaukee Avenue, but I only heard/saw one train on my stay, and that was an extremely short one.

Very Good
Pleasantly surprised at the price, quality, and service at this hotel. I arrived after 2:00am as an exhausted walk-in, and the young man working the desk went way, way, way, above and beyond to make sure I was safe and comfortable. I didn't even know I had a Hilton Hhonors membership, but he found it and gave me the member price. I had a nice rest, a yummy breakfast in the morning and then - DERP! - drove off without my guitar. I didn't even think of it until I was 5 hours down the road and could not turn back to go get it. But guess what? - the morning clerk found it for me and arranged to have it shipped to my home in Colorado. Me and my guitar are home now and looking forward to visiting Lubbock again.

GGuest UserAbout 150 years ago when I was just out of college I took a job nearby and this hotel was a Holiday Inn. It’s very existence grew out of the May 1970 Tornado that urban renewed the whole neighborhood. Holiday Inn will not keep a property after it has aged out. That’s where the MCM Brand comes in attempts to operate it as it once was when it was worthy of a name brand. They are in quite a few places in my state but they don’t impress me. They buy hotels and keep operating them until they breathe their last gasps of air. This one is certainly out of date but it does have a lot of meeting space and conference areas to use. My room was plenty OK but the bathroom was aged. The flooring was vinyl and peeling up. The towels, sheets and other linens were fine. The HVAC worked right but my room door wouldn’t close. It required a strong tug to get the door to latch. It was very easy to go off leaving it unlocked. The outside of the building on the South is suffering from a lot of peeling paint and poor care overall. I did have a couple of drinks in the club which were OK, but too expensive. I looked over the free breakfast offering in the diner and decided I’d go across the street to the Pancake House instead. I just don’t like any kind of food on a serving line, but especially self-service. This property is typical of the MCM brand. It’s OK but nothing remarkable. The word “elegante” and “leftovers” don’t fit together well in my recipe book. This property is definitely a left over Holiday Inn and it does need some updating. I would not pick this brand were I not at a meeting there.

GGuest UserStayed passing through based on reviews but probably wouldn't do so again. The place looked new on the outside but rooms were not being maintained, there were hair pins on the floor or the bathroom, dirty areas on walls etc. The pool is across form the elevators and they allowed kids to run around from the pool into the elevators without drying off. Both elevator floors were covered a lot of water as was the area in front of the elevator doors. I almost slipped but luckily didn't fall. The front desk person put out a sign about it being wet but didn't stop the kids (or the parents) so the area remained wet and dangerous. The best art though was that after we drove 10 hours to get there they told us they had no soap or shampoo. They told us we could drive to the store to buy our own! Our room also had only one towel and no coffee or coffee cups or much of anything. We paid about $100 for this. I'm not sure what happened at this location but I hope they get their act together.

MMcKnightWas easy to check in and out, however when we got to the room, we couldn’t find a garbage can. The room smelled like cigarettes. There was no blankets other than a thin sheet on the bed. So sleeping at night was super hard, because it was cold in the room. We had it at 70, but it was still too cold. Would’ve loved to have a thicker blanket. Staff was super friendly and otherwise our stay was nice.

Forever and always my go to place! The new paint looks so good! Love the pops of red! My room was cozy and comfy! A little sad the pool was closed for repairs. Still wishing they had biscuits and gravy! 😭 Staff is always great!
