We originally called Hampton Inn (which is next door) to book a room there. The lady gave us an incorrect address which was one number off. The lady kept assuring us it was the correct hotel. After it was booked and paid for, the hotel that she actually put us in was the Holiday Inn. Oh well. We get here and they put us in a room that was completely disheveled. It looked like someone had partially cleaned it but the bed sheets were wadded up in a chair, there were towels laying around on the floor, and furniture moved around, as well as various key cards on the table alongside a card that said “your room was cleaned by *name*” so we went down to get a new room. The second room was better. Around the room and the hotel there are: random stains, dents and paint chips, the elevator is extremely sketchy and feels/sounds like it’s going to get stuck or fall at any moment, and dark dingy lighting pretty much everywhere. Also, we went to the breakfast bar around 7 (opens at 6:30) and they were completely out of all fresh breakfast items such as eggs, sausage, etc. They did not refill it while we ate our dry bagels and there wasn’t anyone around to ask about it, and the waffle maker was out of order. Don’t book here if you want an updated hotel, a nice pool (it’s crappy), nice views, or a nice breakfast (or one at all). Otherwise the employees we did speak with were friendly and the second room we had was generally clean.
