Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort

A very large resort a small supermarket but if not all inclusive would be a problem as to getting cabs to the local town could get expensive Night life for kids good but adults cannot even seat outside in the evening s with a drink as pool bar closes at 6 pm Unless you go to the payable restaurants and champs sports bar not very good if paid for all inclusive We was in block 7 but as there are still steps to the lift if getting on a bit would be a problem as me and my wife 70 and 65 years Overall as we had our son his wife and 3 small grandchildren but they 4 minutes walk away why we wasn’t put nearer each other one would never know but we did not book at the same time they were near the reception and dinning room but did have a few cockroaches in there room trying to use the microwave Overall good resort large pools

Pros- lovely room, lovely view (we booked sea view) every single staff member amazing, lovely food different every day, 25 min to walk in to town if you wanted something different. Cons - shower could have been a bit better kind of like dripped out but for me that was it. I’ve been on a few holidays and I have to say has been the only one where I’ve said I’d definitely come back. Absolutely love the place

Beds comfy. Rooms clean. Pools ice cold and food is just as cold. Didn’t have one hot or even warm meal. Too cold and windy for kids. Hotel nice, drinks nice. Gym good. Depends what you’re after. If it’s food and something for the kids I wouldn’t recommend

We returned from this hotel, after a week, yesterday. We hired a car at the airport and to be honest, if you’re staying here, you need one! There is nothing, close by apart from the hotel. The resort of Teguise is probably a forty minute walk but you can get a bus from outside the hotel. The room was lovely, recently renovated with loads of space, a large balcony too and we had paid for a sea view. We also had a fabulous view of the power station with smoke coming out of the chimneys …. not sure how healthy that is! The cleaning was hit and miss, you couldn’t walk barefoot on the floor because it definitely wasn’t cleaned properly. It was all a bit of a rush job, make the bed, change the towels , that’s it. We were half board and the food was the worst bit. Unless you got to the restaurant for 6.30 ish you ended up queuing for a table, not what you want on holiday. The food was worryingly cool and we avoided meat for safety reasons. Salad was very basic and the food in general wasn’t that great. Breakfast was better but stuff like bacon and sausages looked a bit grim, we had mainly dry stuff and fruit. Even the yogurt was in big bowls, uncovered with people breathing over it and dipping in… yum The island of Lanzarote has improved so much since our last visit, ten years ago , we drove all over and it’s so beautiful and unspoiled. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday but I think we will rent an apartment next time.

Booked & stayed for 9 nights in Late January, very pleased all round. Food was plentiful, plates were hot, selection was marvellous, nothing to complain about. Reception Staff were brilliant, cleaning Lady was full of personality, bar staff were good. Location was perfect one Euro to get into Town on the bus or four Euros in taxi and all were similar. Great walk along the promenade to Costa Teguise Town 50 metre pool was well worth the 3 Euro charge, lots of activity in the day, evening entertainment did show some great Artists, especially the 3 singers. All in All I cannot wait to return. 5++++++++++++++++

Beautiful hotel, inside and out. Very warm welcome, and a generous fair well when leaving. Lovely friendly staff, always hands on to help with any questions or queries. Evening entertainment, mini golf on site, beautiful pools and lovely restaurants. Definite place to stay in Lanzarote, 100% recommend.

Just got back from an amazing week in Barcelo Lanzarote Active Resort. Resort is only about 10-15 mins away by taxi (€23). From the start to finish everything was great! Staff was one of the friendliest we ever came across! Originally we booked Half Board but on the second day we've upgraded to All Inclusive (got a great deal 😊). We stayed in the other part of the hotel and I am glad we did as this part is more lively. The main hotel is for people who are looking to relax and chill so the other side was more suitable for us as we were staying there with our 2 kids (this part is more family friendly). Evening entertainment there was great. Food was delicious - there was always something for everyone, lots to choose from. Our room was huge! We booked a family suite (3215) - I was expecting bunk beds in it but we got 2 separate bedrooms instead with a nice sitting room ☺️ and the view was great too 😊 On site facilities are great - amazing Olympic pool and the gym. If you're into cycling you can rent a bike for a day and there's a great costal track to cycle on. Oh and glow in the dark mini golf is brilliant! Costa Teguise is few minutes away by taxi (€4). There's also a bus stop right in front of the hotel and buses are going like every 20 mins either way. There's one shop on the premises and another one few minutes walk behind the resort. There's also a taxi rank with taxis stopping there all the time so there's no issues with getting one. Definitely would recommend this hotel! Barcelo, thank you for a great holiday ❤️

The Barcelo Active Resort was brilliant and had everything you could need and want. The rooms were modern & comfy. Perfect for those wanting an active but also relaxing holiday.

Brilliant stay. Rooms are spacious, modern and very clean, as is the rest of the hotel. Food was great at every sitting, plenty of choice, great quality. Staff brilliant. Have been to Lanzarote numerous times, best so far and would happily book again! Only area for improvement would be evening entertainment.
