The house was very clean and I was perfectly able to communicate with the host.
The person in charge at the destination was also very polite and happy to assist with anything we needed.
I would definitely come again !!

In the photos the structure looks different. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. However, we must say things as they are. A general refresh is needed. The shower was disgusting to enter. The door didn't close so instead of changing rooms we had to leave the room open. If there were a more feminine touch perhaps it would be different

The place is enchanting: a small Eden with some two-storey cottages with patios and kitchen areas. The wonderful beach of Las Galeras can be reached in a couple of km, and there are all kinds of shops nearby. Unfortunately, there was a "small" setback, Hurricane Fiona, which forced us to barricade ourselves in the house for over a day with devastating winds of 200 km/h and torrential rain. Once the storm has passed, all around is desolation: destroyed pylons, roofless houses, uprooted trees, mud... The little houses of Las Mariposas withstood the impact and Cila, the Italian lady who manages them with her husband Domenico, will surely bring everything back in a short time to its previous splendor. In a very short break from the hurricane she still managed to prepare us a delicious dish of penne with pesto (Cila is Genoese). Which shows that hospitality and good organization are at home in Las Mariposas!
