İmerti Resort Hotel is a small family business. The employees are very friendly and help you with everything. They even helped me remove the sea urchin that stung my foot :)) The pool and jacuzzi of the hotel are especially nice, the rooms are large enough and useful. My only constructive criticism would be to improve the breakfast, especially the coffee served at breakfast, by using non-chemical coffee instead of water-soluble coffee.

Just returned from this wonderful small and friendly hotel. From the moment we stepped off the coach from the airport we were welcomed with open arms and treated like family. George and Stratos work tirelessly to ensure the resort is excellently presented and you have everything needed at your fingertips. They go above and beyond and are an asset to the hotel. We upgraded our room to one overlooking the pool area. Getting a sunbed every day was never an issue and you have the sun all day round. Skala Kalloni is only a five minute walk on flat road but for those days when you want to grab a quick snack, the pool bar has various snacks/lunches for you to choose from. Everything is reasonably priced and the local wine and beer is delicious. Breakfast is plentiful with lots of continental choices. The Greek yoghurt, local honey and nuts/dried fruit is to die for. The local produced bread is also delicious. I ate more in 2 weeks than I have in the last 6 months in the UK as it was so hard to resist. We met lots of wonderful people, many of whom have returned again and again and have already booked for next year. We 100% understand why and are looking to do the same. It’s the first time we’ve been somewhere and truly relaxed. This hotel and Lesvos has captured our hearts. My husband is a really keen wildlife photographer. This hotel is the ideal location for all the local areas where you can see the abundance of wildlife it offers. After Stratos found out he was a keen bird watcher, he lent him a book about the local area. Again, another example of why this hotel is so wonderful. Thank you for a wonderful 2 weeks. See you again soon. Tops tips: * Take a couple of additional coat hangers with you * 100% try the Greek Yoghurt * The Freddo cappuccinos are to die for * The aircon is brilliant when a heatwave hits * Hire a car and visit as many places as possible on the island * Card and cash is welcome at the hotel * Take pegs with you as there is a washing line to dry your clothes on * no need to pack books - there’s a huge selection in the hotel for you to borrow (we noticed titles in English, Dutch and German)

Just had a wonderful 10 nights at The Imerti on a package with Jet2. We booked a standard double room but on arrival we were pleasantly surprised to find that we had been upgraded to a Junior Suite. Lovely spacious rooms with a huge balcony, very comfy king sized bed and the softest and most comfortable pillows we’ve ever had in Greece. Stratos and George are the most friendly hosts and keep the hotel immaculate. We had the most lazy, relaxing holiday ever staying around the pool most days and only venturing out in the evening for dinner. The pool bar was very handy for drinks and reasonably priced snacks at lunchtime. Rooms were cleaned every day and towels and bedding changed regularly. We chose the hotel for its proximity to the village and it took us about 7 or 8 minutes to stroll down in the evening, a very flat walk and well lit at night along the road. There are 8 tavernas and 3 bars so it is a relatively quiet resort which suited us fine. The breakfast was basic Greek but with lots of choice so something for everyone. Sometimes the cooked items were not very warm but never an issue for us. We particularly liked the Greek yogurt and nuts, cereals and fruit. We did hear a few grumbles about the breakfast choices but you’d have to be really picky to not find something to your liking. All in all a very relaxing enjoyable holiday made better by the great camaraderie with other guests and the owners. We would return to The Imerti.

Absolutely excellent hotel run by wonderful people. We stayed here on our first visit to the island and what a fabulous experience. The rooms are immaculate, the beds are exceptionally comfortable, the breakfast is amazing and the staff cannot do enough for you. Stratos and George are so welcoming and everyone is so helpful. We hope to return to Lesvos next year and we would only wish to stay at this wonderful hotel. Thank you. David & Julie Grant

What's not to like? Good beds and pillows. Lovely balcony. Good room. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast. Loved the home made cakes and the Greek yogurt. Only a short walk to the tavernas or the shops, and even less to the wonderful bakery nearby.

Several of the guests were repeat visitors. Our visit got off to a bad start when we were asked for twice the tourist tax. As Stratos didnt have change (he rarely does have change :) ) he said we could pay later, when he explained he'd made a mistake over how long we were staying. Our room was a superior double as we wanted a little extra space. The cleaners do an excellent job and come in on Sundays, not always the case in Greek hotels. The shower is hand held but has a rail with a support so that you can use it as an overhead shower. It had a cubicle, not a curtain. Greek toilets so the usual bin for paper. The bed settee might be fine as a bed but the cushion is too far back for support so you'll end up sitting on one of the two chairs or out on the balcony looking over the pool. The pool is in full sun so although unheated it should warm up in summer. Two brave ladies swam in it even in April. Beds are firm - not as rock like as some Greek beds but probably should have asked if they could supply mattress toppers. Sink and fridge and 3 cups and saucers. Kettle could probably benefit from a better clean. Air conditioning was available for a fee, in April we could manage without it by opening the sliding door to the balcony as soon as we got in the room. We certainly didnt need the bedcover kindly left in our room on one of the cooler nights, most nights we pushed back the light duvets. Pool towels available for 5 euros a week. Safe was available for a fee, we didnt ask how much. Breakfast was very good. I was persuaded to try the yoghurt (I dont normally eat it) and that was excellent, thick and creamy. There were preserved fruits to add to it or some walnuts, almonds, dried fruit. There was a fruit basket that always had apples and oranges, some days a few bananas. Hot food varied but always some type of egg (fried, scrambled, omelette). Then strips of ham or sausage or beans and mushrooms. Also cheese pies or cheese and spinach tray bake sliced up. Two toasters and preserves to add. Cold ham and cheese with tomato and cucumber. Boiled eggs available too. Nice bread but if you wanted gluten free you'd have to ask or take your own. Full fat or skimmed milk and I think soy milk available. Some days good mini croissants, sometimes apple traybake or biscuity things with chocolate sprinkles. Decent orange juice. Coffee machine had limited choices (espresso or filter coffee, hot water) and first day it wasnt hot enough water, second day was better. Still recommend taking a mug so you can get your coffee as you like it. Only saw a cat once and it stayed outside the restaurant after Stratos shooed it out. Ate a couple of lunches - filling, inexpensive gyros or sandwiches all that was available at the start of the season. Pool bar opens mid May, it suited us that there was no pool bar so it was quiet. There is a well stocked library in the breakfast area. Most books were in English, maybe 20 in either Dutch or German, one Greek. A Col

The best compliment you can give a hotel is to return and after a wonderful holiday last year we were back...but for longer. A fantastic welcome from our hosts Stratos and George and the team. They make you feel like friends not guests and you become quite fond of them too as nothing is took much trouble to make your holiday one to remember. quiet and chilled around the freshwater pool but with relaxing music and snacks and drinks from the pool bar. we used to go to the pool and have a couple of breaks back at the room where we had a coffee and salad sandwich as the rooms have a full size fridge and you can get great beef tomatoes and cheese and ham from the local shops for pennies. Then after a shower down to the town a 700 yard walk but flat as a pancake to choose between 8 or 9 good restaurants all excellent and cheap our favourite being Sampo right on the beach. Not much to do after you have eaten but for a relaxing chilled holiday unbeatable. Good little airport with a surprising good duty free and fresh food to buy to take on the plane. Back to the Imerti I cannot recommend the hotel or the owners highly enough , lovely people, great location and for us 10 out of 10. Out thanks for a great holiday. All the best Mister John.

This is the third time that we have stayed at the Imerti Resort Hotel. It is our 'happy place'. Excellent facilities with the friendliest and happiest staff you could wish for; nothing is too much trouble. The rooms and the whole place are cleaned daily. Any request is dealt with promptly. It is located only a few hundred meters from the village square, which is by the sea, with a very fine choice of restaurants and bars. Skala Kalloni is not a tourist trap, it is a functioning fishing and agricultural community. If you are a birdwatcher it is a must visit. But anyone wanting to get away from the pains of modern life will not go too far wrong choosing the Imerti.

A fabulous stay at The Imerti Hotel in Skala Kalloni. This really is a resort that beckons you back year after year. Small and bijou with the most friendly villagers and amazing restaurants that serve authentic Greek dishes with a smile. The resort itself is a short 1 hour (ish) transfer from the newly built airport in Mytilini via comfortable coach. We stayed at the Imerti Hotel, ran by Stratos, George and the welcoming Kefaladellis family who greet you with enthusiasm and open arms. It has to be said that this is what draws us back to Skala Kalloni, the hospitality at the Imerti caters for those who prefer to relax by the pool, for those who wish to explore the island and for those who take advantage of the scenery, wildlife and local area. Rooms are certainly comfortable and range from standard rooms to apartments that are maintained daily. The pool area is hosted by George, who delights in providing an array of beverages, poolside music and on the odd occasion (along with his brother Stratos) a cracking game of ‘Murder in Palermo’. All I can say is…. If you prefer authentic Greek hospitality in a beautiful setting that is relatively untouched by tourism …. Give it a go, you won’t be disappointed
